The BMW Genius rep said it was because of the addition of the 48v electric motor but he also said the AS/S function is almost imperceptible because of the electric motor engaging at start to move the vehicle. I hope so. My X5 is waiting for its production to start. Can't wait to drive it.
I have an x7 loaner. 40i. No ass button. It's very noticeable coming from my m50i. Some may not care. But Not being able to turn it off will be a deal breaker for many.
