The main reason discs warp is due to the driver coming from a firm stop and then waiting at traffic lights etc and keeping your brakes applied, as the discs cools the section that is clamped cools at a different rate so warps the disc. So if have just come off a freeway make sure you apply the handbrake if stationery for any length of time.
