I burn through Pilot Sport 4s at about 12-15k on my Golf R even though they have a 30k treadlife warranty. I expect the Bridgestone Alenzas on my 45e (60k warranty) to last for at least 30k. Horses for courses.

Yeah I have 22" perelli summer performance tires. I will look into all season for better tread life. I've had the M50i for a year and I doubt I will ever get any real benefit from performance tires.
