Excellent post, thanks! The only thing that bothers me about this bracket is that the plate is only held on by the top two screws, and bows as can be seen in one of your pics. I don't understand why they didn't make the mounting part of the bracket a full rectangle instead of being 3 sided. I'm wondering if it's legal to drill a couple of holes in the license plate so that you'd be able to screw the plate in the two bottom holes of the mounting bracket.
