For me my car's built-in in nav is more than enough to get from point A to B, I can control my pandora music thru my car's regular bluetooth, I can answer my phone calls thru my regular bluetooth, I don't mess with my messages when I'm driving and I dont need data for my car due to reasons stated above.
I drive about 200 miles a day and that works for me. Probably just me.
I couldn't bring myself to use the built in nav-- modern phone nav is vastly better at traffic avoidance and I wouldn't have a license without police location notifications.

And, pandora is supported under carplay-- so you wouldn't need to be fiddling with your phone to select your music.

Aka, you could still be doing the same thing you're currently doing-- it would just work better
