So, it begins. Just dropped off my car for some beautification. Will undergo paint correction and removal of prior ceramic coat, full PPF with edge wrapping, ceramic coat on top, UV protection film on all tinted glass (front doors already done)

Expected pickup Sunday next week

It'll be worth it!

I wish I could have left the car for a week, but couldn't, so had front done first last week, then the remainder this week and next week the ceramic coating inside and out.

Only mod is a front splitter next weekend.

Day 1: wash, strip (remove ceramic) and prep the paint

Day 3: wrapping

Sometimes it’s best to not know how things are done or made (like with hot dog sausages)… it’s pretty unnerving to see the level of „de-assembly” the car goes through while being wrapped

The benefit is that while the door inserts are off, the guys will put some foam around the wires and hopefully this will eliminate the gremlins and critters of which I have had quite a few - faint noises from both front doors right above the elbow rest

It'll be both

It's "worth it" to me. One reason, I wish to give the car the most protection (though, I have a sense it's esoteric in this case). And two, I want to give the car the most shine it can get and which I can realistically maintain over a longer time

PPF protects. Ceramic is all about the finish.

Day 5: wrapping, edge rolling, tinting completed; they're putting the ceramic now

Day 6 will be a "do nothing" day, letting everything settle and cure. I'm picking her up Sunday
