Apple CarPlay Connection Issues

I have suddenly lost reliable CarPlay connectivity whenever I get into our 2025 X5 50e or 2024 M4 Convertible.

X5 SW Version : 11/2025.50
M4 SW Version : 07/2025.38

I have tried removing and re-pairing the phone. CarPlay works for initial try but then after a parking of either car, leaving, and then coming back to car... no go

The only way to get CarPlay to reconnect is a remove/re-pair sequence. Anyone else having issues? Any suggested fixes?

Has something changed with iOS 26.4?

Had the car in the shop for scheduled maintenance and they forced update it 03.2026. The update has greatly improved my iPhone CarPlay reliability. Not sure what else has been addressed.
