Do "no plate" front and risk the ticket.

Otherwise suck it up and drill into the bumper.

I always thought the tow hook mount looked stupid. Asymmetry kills the beauty of it.

I agree, I also don't like how most of them stick out just looks weird.

Our dealer used 3M double sided tape to mount our plate. When it is time to take if off, I may need a heat gun, fishing line, and a little goo gone but it works well. There are no holes, of course.

We live in Germany so the lack of a front plate would an immediate ticket from either the US MPs or the Polizei.

I got two warnings already :-( and will sure be ticketed the next time around.
I hate how they are misaligned too on most cars. I guess I'll go the 3M route then.

May I ask where you (maybe county or city of you don't feel comfortable disclosing your location) are and what municipality / Law Enforcement Agency issued these warnings?

im in NY and have no front plate. Fuck it.

All these solutions are ugly or suck.
The carbonio is flimsy, the tow hook one always loosens.


Do no front plate and if you're going into an area that is super strict...which is quite rare, just zip tie the plate to the honey combs since we have huge grilles to allow it.

To each his own I guess, I have the offset plate in the tow-hook mount on my E90 M3 and love the look actually. I can see how it’d look unusual at first, but then it just seems cool after awhile, imho. Tbh, I think a U.S. plate dead center in front, on a car like the X5/6M looks absolutely dismal. I prefer the offset tow-hook look.

I'm in NY as well. I'm gonna try the no plate method on my current car and see how things go over time.

The front end just looks so much more aggressive but yet so much cleaner without the front plate displayed

Agreed, hate the front plate so I leave it off.
