Phone as Digital Key but still need a PIN

Hi

When I use my iPhone as a DK, I still need to enter my PIN to load my profile - while I can deselect PIN entry, it then asks for my BMW account password.

Surely you can assign a profile to a DK instance? Likewise when I use the key card, I need to key in my PIN and I want to avoid this.

I am the only driver/DK holder so it's annoying me!

Its there under the profile settings. You can marry your profile to 1 *digital* key. Whether it be the iPhone or NFC but it's there..

interesting. I don't have to do any of that. I set mine up almost 2 years ago, so I'll have to check my settings for anything obvious. may want to look at yours and report back so I can compare

There are 3 options under your driver profile settings for driver recognition. You just activate which methods you want tied to the driver profile … PIN, Keyfob and DK. You can have 1 or more options enabled. The DK needs to be in the tray to toggle it.

Thanks all - I'll check later today, when I used the key card, it definitely did not link to my profile but will try the key card and phone separately.

Thanks for this! Same problem as the OP with the Key Card where it would require a pin each time. Was able to associate the key card with my profile when the card is in the tray and works now without needing to input a pin.

When ur logged into your profile - either with keyfob or Pin, just go to profile - right side - settings I believe. Anyhow, the setting to attach profile to DK is right there. Just a tick box...

double check your settings. I don't have to enter a PIN when using my iPhone, keycard or Apple Watch. may want to delete and set up from scratch
