Just wondering if it is just me

The last two times I got remote update then I'm asked to sign in -again. Pretty annoying as I always forget the PW.

Fun thing is once the update is completed then I get a notice on my phone/BMW Connected (iPhone)

Getting a service soon so will take it up with the dealer then.

I have never had to sign back in again after an update but I drive the vehicle regularly. The second key which has its own profile is driven very infrequently and I've had to sign in onto that profile whenever I took it out

I have had my X5 since October and have yet to receive or find an update for it yet.

I don't know how BMW prioritizes which vehicle and when they'll get an update, but it does not seem to be a pattern. Mine was built the end of August, came with software from much earlier, but was updated maybe a month in to the July 2020 edition...I haven't seen the November one or the March 2021 version yet. WHen the July one got installed, it was just before I heard about the November one, so essentially, it was almost already behind a version.

If anyone knows how BMW decides which vehicle gets updated and when, I'd be happy to find out!

If three months afterwards was a rigid schedule, I should have received the November 2020 update by now...hasn't happened.
