Well well well.. The BMW Genius for the win again. Just called and got a week 39 build date. He said I should start seeing some movement in the build status by mid September. So for all of us, welcome to Week 39!!

Also, I asked about deletes and nothing is out. Looks like the 45e is going to get built as ordered.

I must have been typing my post at the same time! Looks like a nice selection.

Here's mine:
2023 X5 xDrive45e
Xline
Alpine White
Cognac Sensafin
Executive package
Climate
Heated seats
Tow hitch

8/5 signed order with CA
8/6 placed in order bank (047)
8/12 Production number assigned (111)
8/16 called Genius and got a prod week of 39 (which she said was week of 9/11 but that seems wrong to me?)

This is my first BMW, we're usually "practical car" people but in this case it IS practical as its the only marginally readily available PHEV that can tow enough for us. We have a Leaf and a PHEV minivan (which we'll sell) and can't fathom going back to ICE only.

We are doing a PCD. The dealership said they wanted to wait to put that in the system, but the Genius said do it now. Hopefully I don't have to get into an argument with the CA.

Hi,

It looks like our build will also be in week 39! I have ordered;
2023 X5 xDrive45e M Sport
Merino leather - Ivory
Carbon Black Metallic
Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Sound
Acoustic Glass
Comfort Seats with Active seat ventilation
Laser Lights
Tow-hitch
Drive Recorder, Tyre Pressure Monitor
Sun Protection
DAP, PA+ Connected Drive etc. are all standard in the Australian Spec.

The dealer is still saying February delivery to Australia, but who knows, if shipping times improve it might be a (late) Christmas present.

So what made you decide to switch from 21” to 20” wheels?

A couple of reasons. One my wife is the worst with curb rash, so this gives her a fighting chance. 2) I rode in one with 21's and I didn't care for the ride.

So none of the other goodies like parking and DAP? What was your thought on keeping it lean on options?

First, we wanted to ensure that we didn't get stuck with supply chain issues and have delivery delayed past the end of the year for purposes of the tax credit. The less stuff you put in, the better chances you have that the car will in fact be delivered on a timely basis.

Secondly, my wife and I tend towards the base model of luxury cars which are more than enough posh for us. I like 19 inch wheels for the ride. I have found that the more advanced electronics you put in a car, the more visits you have to make to the service department over time to have them fixed. While my son likes heads up display and adaptive cruise, we are more old school. That is one reason we like the X5 so much. As opposed to my Tesla model S, which has the touch screen for most functions, there are actual buttons and the IDrive which is a fabulous system.

Very smart. I have a problem with liking the toys! Hopefully no delays and we'll get these sooner that later.

Agree on the approach in the first part. Not getting the credit is going to be painful for those who loaded up their X5s (potentially).

Hi everyone. I am in production week 39. My last bmw was a 2004 330i, 6spd in gray. I custom ordered it (and I mean I ordered off the menu thanks to the help of these forums) and painfully watched it travel across the ocean. Man I loved that car. I would clay bar and wax it. Heck I even use to cover it up at night. Since then I have bought many cars (MCS, Jetta, two Mazdaspeed 3's, Outback, Cx9, and currently an MDX) but finally made my way back to BMW. I typically prefer a stick shift in my sportier cars, so an automatic BMW is a little odd for me. I have totally been vacillating between x3m40i and an X5 xDrive40i. I decided to go with the X5 based on the need for space and well I keep tearing out at the lights when I was test driving the X3M40i. Considered I was pulled over for speeding in my MDX last week (after a month of test driving BMW's) I realized that I should go with the more "practical" of the two. So, in my BMW garage it says scheduled for production. Where are ya'll finding your status? The dealer said it was 111/112. My order consists of:

X5 xDrive40i
Alpine white (considering a change to blue, but I live in Texas and the whole state feels like it's on fire during the summer)
Black Sensafin (no other option)
DAP (If I don't have this for the cruise control, I may kill my husband for driving all over the place as he gazes at the scenery during road trips or he doesn't break until he is right on someone's bumper)
Parking Assistance (want the cameras because my husband loves to curb rash my rims)
Executive package (really not sure I want to keep this one, but the laserlights and led lounge.... it's like a disco ball. Shiny)
Climate Package
Space saving spare
Wireless charger (second guessing this one as well, might switch out for trailer hitch, but we have a Dodge Ram to tow so its not really necessary)

I keep changing my mind. My impulsive side wants to change the entire build. I love the phytonic blue color and I like the looks of m-sport package. I hate the glass gear shifter. I really wish I could order ala cart like I did with my 330i. Have any of you tried to order something ala cart that's part of a package recently? My friends and my husband chuckle because they know I will sell my car in a couple years anyway. Anyway, I am excited to go on this ride with everyone!

I talked to BMW Genius this morning and it's almost 150 and is scheduled to hit the line this weekend. No deletes and they have my PDC properly lined up. Just my luck I am going to be out of the country for 3 weeks, but I'll have something to look forward to when I get back. Home stretch, can't wait to see 150 status!!

They misled you a little, hitting status 150 does not mean it will be on the assembly line. Production Begins means that a VIN has been assigned and parts ordered/allocated. This usually occurs about two weeks prior to your production week. Actual assembly takes less than a day.

Well poop. I was swamped at work today and I had planned on adding the M sport, deleting the executive and wireless, adding prem, HK and blue sport brakes, and I just checked my garage (trying to do that f12 thing on a MAC, unsuccessfully) and it says my car is going to production, vin assigned. Now, normally I would celebrate but I want my Msport and 20 inch wheels at least. I texted my CA, he said he had me covered but I seriously doubt it. I was expecting to be waiting until Sept to get into production. It's ya'lls fault. I spent last night ogling everyone's M sport photos. Heck I almost changed my order the Manhattan green. I'm thinking there is no way I am production week 39.... or am I?

He may have another allocation that he can modify. He will not be able to change the one your currently have. Totally possible you have Week 39.

Here are the instructions for Safari. Make sure you are on the MyGarage page and not the tracing page.
