Hello all,
I'm trying to finalise my X5 build options and I'm undecided on the trim option to choose, and no dealer actually has anything in stock with the trim I'm looking at (if they even have stock of anything at the moment).
I'm planning on Mineral White exterior, with coffee vernasca, but I'm not sure on either fineline stripe brown, or ash grain brown metallic.

Is there anyone who can get me good pic of their interior, particularly the centre console area, in either the fineline stripe or the ash brown. Not fussed about the leather as I'm pretty decided on that.
My worry is that the fineline will look too stripey on the large uninterrupted centre console section.

Edit: and I have spent ages scrolling through any pic threads I can find, but nothing really shows that centre console.

Sorry...I don't have pictures of the trim you're deciding on. I have Matte Polar with coffee. IMO, the fineline brown is too basic... I will go with the ash grain brown over fineline brown.

I have Fineline with Coffee (Merino, not Vernasca). It’s a fairly classic combination, captured here on a bright cloudy day. The lightest shade of the wood trim complements either Coffee or Tartufo leathers.

The online configurator lets you change options and allows 360-degree rotation to get an idea. Any computer screen or picture will have slight variations in how it is actually displayed, depending on calibration, so it would be rare to be an exact match...

Most dealers do have a bunch of sample pieces of the actual materials you can view in various lighting conditions.

amu3ed, any chance you'd have a pic of your dash and console? I've seen this combo somewhere but it didn't give me a good idea of the contrast in the larger dash sections

That's a great picture, thanks. I do like the fineline, but it may be too stripey for me. Currently have it in my wife's 5yo x3 but the panels just aren't as big as the x5.

Thanks Auricom, that does look really good with that leather colour. If I was going for a light interior that would be what I chose.

Even compared to the physical brochure the colours are different, particularly the ash brown. And the sample pieces are so small - for me, you just don't get that overall effect of a full dash, particularly when the centre console is so large in the x5.
All the dealers here only order the tetragon, which is not for me..

Brown-Metallic ash is lighter and does have linear grain that can be stripe-like but it's not very prominent. Here's a thread with better photos:

Wow they all look really good to me. Matte at least has the advantage of being more scratch resistant.

I have fineline with full ivory merino interior. Really pleased with the trim, especially in the sun.

I don't think it looks very "stripy", but that's obviously a personal preference.

Glad to take a couple of pics and post them. Just describe what sort of pic and angle you're looking for...

Personally I wanted to go with as black as possible and non of the wood trims would give me dark enough looks and I didn't want to have too busy interior with Black, Silver, Brown between the dash, and other areas, so I went with Aluminum one, and I am 100% happy. If that is one of the trims you are interested I can take a few pics, it looks slightly different than online configurator since you can't see details much there.

It's Aluminum Dark Mesh. Mesh effect is only on mSport I believe, that made me a little woozy looking at that 3d effect.

I'll try to get a better picture for you, this is just one I happened to have in my phone. I just love how it blends with rest of the car, especially the sides, gives a uniform feel and makes the black just blacker. If I was going with brown or tan interior, I'd definitely get one of the darker wood, possibly the exposed one, but going with black interior and exterior, this was best option for me.

Personally I didn't really like the glass controls either, or losing the touch pad that you can type on the iDrive dial.

Definitely, it's the xOffroad Program lever for vehicles equipped with ZOR (Off-Road Package)

The offroad package contains the 2–axle Air suspension (SA 2VR) and the electronically regulated rear axle differential lock (GHAS).

In addition to the level change rocker button for the air suspension, this chassis and suspension package also includes an offroad rocker button. The driver can select 4 different offroad driving modes via the offroad button.

This allows the driving characteristics to be adapted to the local conditions, e.g. snow, sand, gravel or rock. Additionally, a preconfigured ride level is set based on the offroad mode selected. The resulting additional ground clearance increases the fording depth and offroad capability on challenging sections, e.g. embankments or ramps with steep drive-up angle.

Three to Four months! I ordered at the end of October and took delivery the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

My Daughter took this photo of our test drive X5 with M sport. We factory ordered with same trim tetragon 4KK aluminum trim with crystal glass and black leather.
