I have a G05 LCI with iDrive 8.5 (2024 50e). Has anyone been able to install Airconsole? How? Steps?

Airconsole seems to work fine for me. I spent an hour or so playing a few of the games. The only really complaint I had was that using an iPhone as a controller is not very precise and some games work better than others. Not really a complaint with airconsole but more about using touch screen controllers in general.

I did not do anything special to install it. It downloaded and launched first try after hitting icon on the main app list screen. It worked the same as the TiVo app or others similar ones that need to be downloaded. My 50e came with 8.5 and airconsole was already there as an icon. Not sure about previous versions.

Did you download on your phone and it appeared on the car display?

Is that how you did the TiVo app?

The main app is downloaded via iDrive (via an icon that already existed in the full application list). The phone does have an app but it is more a client that connects afterward. Same thing for TiVo app but the iPhone is not involved at all.
