I'm not surprised, bugs aside the X5 is an excellent luxury SAV.

6 seconds 0-60 for the 40i? Did they test it in Ecco mode? That's off. C&D got 4.9 seconds.

It’s CR, not know for driving skills, the same people will be testing blenders next month.

It doesn't take skill to use launch control on a test track

I think CR just floors it. They don't brake torque, use launch control, or a 1' roll out like many of the auto magazines do.

Anyway this review confirms what a lot of us know. When my wife and I first test drove the new X5 we hadn't read any reviews so even going in blind we knew immediately this was a special vehicle in terms of comfort, design, tech., and performance.

I noticed that. Keep in mind that's on their test area with hardhat granny driving.

Thanks for posting! I reviewed CR before I signed the bottom line. I appreciate what appears to be unbiased reporting on their part. Did anyone see their X5 video review? Worth watching if your still on the fence.

It is the entire package that makes it so good though engine-transmission and suspension are the best parts.
