Has anyone done this yet? I picked up a top mount kit and planning on putting it on. I did a quick google and didn't see anything.

I take it as top mount turbo??? But why? You swaitching to bigger turbo. In-line6 leans toward passenger side. where factory is, perfect location for turbo. Unless you need to go big.

There are some catches tho. You are routing the hottest thing in a car up to top of engine bay, where all the plastic is. Exhausted travels longer, you may start noticing turbo leg.

Yes, it is for a big frame turbo. Catless downpipe, will do motive reflex, port injection, etc etc. Making a fast grocery getter for my wife. Set ups like this make 7-800 whp all day long. I wouldn’t mount a stock sized turbo up top :-)

I have built a couple b58’s with similar set ups. They are a lot of fun.

I do have a channel but nothing on that build yet. I have several projects going on:

E89 n54 6sp with upgraded turbos, FBO etc
F10 s55 swap with upgraded turbos 6 speed
G05 b58 top mount
E93 M3 supercharged 6 speed
F10 N55 big turbo build

These are all in progress and I have been collecting parts by earning money working on other people’s cars. I am doing my first stage 1 zf 8hp transmission on a b58 big turbo 440ix. So I have been able to play around with a lot of stuff to see what I want. It has been fun… but it is slow when you have a day job lol.

I also custom 3d print intakes and diff inserts. I suppose I have too much going on lol.

Which kit did you go with? I'd love a 4n kit on my g05. That plus reflex and pi is big money though.
