pjl1520 Recommend adding the space saver spare. It’s much more costly aftermarket. RFT or not it’s peace of mind.

I got the spare after reading about it on the forum. I was able to get it added easily before it went into production. But - is the spare loaded in at Spartansburg or does the Vehicle Processing Center do it when it gets off the train?

Will switch out the run flats once they need replacing.

The spare is loaded on the assembly line. Vehicles from Spartanburg do not go to the Vehicle Processing Center when they are unloaded from the train in CA. They are held at the rail yard and dispatched on trucks.

I'm in the Week 5 club, woohoo!! Just found out today. Genius had previously estimated Week 6.

2025 X5 X50e PHEV
M Sport
Alpine White
20" M Star-Spoke Bicolor 740M Wheels with All Season Runflat Tires
Black Extended Merino Leather
Anthracite-Brown Poplar Matte Finish Wood Trim
Climate Comfort Package
Driving Assistance Professional Package
Premium Package
M Sport Professional Package
M Sport Brakes with Blue Calipers
Parking Assistance Package
Anthracite Alcantara Headliner
Front Massaging Seats
Rear Manual Slide Window Shades

I skipped the trailer hitch, executive, and upgraded wheels (I want squared 20" for comfort and being able to rotate). Fully loaded otherwise.

The production date is listed as Jan 31st, 2025. I believe the order was accepted on 12/6. It went into 150 status today, 1/16/2025.

Any idea how long it should take to get to my dealer in SoCal if all goes well and my production date begins on 1/31 as estimated? I have a trip in later February and it would be AMAZING to have the car by then. :P

Awesome, congrats! I keep refreshing the page but no status change yet. Hoping it starts today, F12 still shows 1/30.

This is crazy... my car entered the assembly line yesterday and is at the dealer today? whaaat?

Admittedly it's within 2 hours of the factory - but still. Wow.

Wowwww, lucky guy! Probably just put it on a truck and sent it off after it checked out fine.

I on the other hand, get to wait for the lovely train to bring it to the west coast.

When I checked this morning - my car was in status 150 - 4 hour later - it's now in status 182 - Handover to freight forwarder - vehicle is loaded

No delays anywhere - my online manual is now available for download.

I am waiting for the midnight train to California!

Wow, nice! I'm in SoCal. Mine was in 150 all morning and by the time I looked around 12:15pm it was in 153 on the assembly line. It moved to 155 (QC) sometime before 3:15pm. It is currently still at 155 at 7:00pm. Hoping it wraps up without any issues and doesn't get stuck in QC like some of the really long builds have taken (weeks of QC). Extra hoping it gets on a train tonight or tomorrow and starts heading out west. :P
