Here's the DA data for this morning:

Later today when it's 80F the air density will go down to 85% so that won't help
Try to run your current fuel way down and then fill up with the good stuff. Run it through until you are about that 3 gallon mark. The computer will need a few miles of the good fuel to adjust anyway. Love to see that air temp below 60 degrees. The turbo will respond. My plan is to do my runs in the 45-50 degree mark in the spring. Look in the manual and it will state you can run your tires at max pressure with speeds over 100mph. As long as you hook up, that rolling resistance will be reduced at max pressure. Try folding your side mirrors in on a few runs. Your active grill shutter position will most certainly make a difference.
This is a fun project. I love to do this kind of stuff.

I'll see if I can give all of that a shot. I know there's no manual grille shutter control but I can increase the tire pressure a bit (hopefully it doesn't make the ride too harsh). The bad part is here the weather is only getting warmer so air density will thin out

I drive a lot, usually 15k miles year. I also drove 350 miles home from getting the car and average 30-50 miles a day so yeah. My X3 had 16,300 miles after 10 months but I did some more driving than usual

Has anyone in Europe tried regular gas versus the 102 Octane Aral Ultimate stuff? I wonder how much of a difference it makes in terms of horsepower or "draggy" times.

Draggy is a VBOX more or less and is accurate within 0.01s of true 1/4 recordings per many people testing on the drag strip.

Higher octane will allow the timing to advance a certain amount meaning more power so it will help to a degree.

I ran another 0-60 today, it's cold so my summer tires have virtually no traction yet I managed to post the best time someone's recorded on here to date!

DA and Draggy screenshots below

I did not use launch control, I had DSC off for this run and was in a mild turn for the last half so...

Welllll you were going downhill

Just kidding. That's pretty fast! My 40i doesn't "feel" fast like my previous car did. Not sure if that's the very wide power band that doesn't feel peaky or that it's actually not all that fast. In any case, sometimes I wish I had the 50i to make me grin a bit more

It definitely doesn't feel as quick but it's faster than my M40i ever was in that same spot. What's funny is I did this going through a turn with limited traction so it can do a lot better. first run with actual launch control was 4.7s, DSC off performs way better at 4.27s

That-a-boy. I’m telling you 4 seconds flat is gonna happen.
How much fuel in the tank and what octane?

When it warms up I'll do another run in that spot, alternatively I'd like to find a true track so I don't get in trouble and run a 1/4mile

I had 1/2 tank of 91 octane fuel during this run

edit: look at the numbers I had a bad launch too! easily could've been under 4.2s with a better launch I had 0.08s better for the 1st 20ft on my other run so that would've put me at 4.19s!

With 93oct, tires 5lbs up, and less fuel in tank, you will get to 4 seconds flat on a cold day. Your even doing this at almost 3000 feet elevation.
I can do my runs at 500ft elevation with 94 octane and in cold weather. I have to wait until my roads are clear of salt and cinders.
I WILL see 4 seconds flat.. I played this game with a RS4 I had years back. I have a formula I figured out.

nice, well I can't really get any lower elevation wise because Texas is flat but I can find the 1 station with 93 octane and add air to my tires I know you'll post better times with that nice elevation and proper fuel!

Dammit....now I want to reclaim the title but I just filled up my tank. Maybe I'll take it out tonight anyway and see how she goes.

@MystroX5 this is what happens when you have 1.16% too much slope from earlier today

Thanks. Unfortunately 50i not available in Europe.

It subtracts the time taken for the first 1ft of travel and gives you the 0-60mph time you would have (does that make sense)

I did a couple of 0-60 runs today in my 40i and got 5.8 second and 6.0 seconds. Not sure why it was so slow today. There was a 15 mph wind perpendicular to the car, but I wouldn't expect it to have that much impact.

For some reason launch control never activates for me (in Sport+, DSC pressed once, shifter in manual mode). It still revs to 2500 rpm with brake and accelerator floored.

Sorry, in 'S' mode.

Made the mistake once of putting it in manual mode and, pro tip, it doesn't autoshift at redline I got quite a surprise when the car cut fuel at redline and the car jolted without shifting.
