How is the transition between EV -> ICE. Is it something you can feel kick in? With our F15 40e it is noticeable and fairly good but it can be improved. Not sure if new 45e is 100% seamless.

I had the same in a test drive with a 530e in the past. It was very noticeable. With a 745e testdrive, this was a lot better and smoother in my opinion. I expect the same from the x5 because the technology base is the same.

I'm also interested in the total range of the x5, so electrical and combustion combined.

That’l be be 3600km - 2200 miles if you do the math

A beer for the person that gets it

So I mean: the first one that gets this mileage with the 45e gets a beer

Nope google says :

(3600 kilometers) - (2200 miles) =
59.4432 kilometers

:-)

https://www.google.com/search?q=2200...hrome&ie=UTF-8

But I don't think 60km is correct

Hi Hybrido's,

Today my car drove 71,8 KM (1h12min) in full electric mode...and it had some juice left over. My average speed was 60,3 km/h.
Every trip is a pleasure and it's worth waiting for.

Trust me... in my new 45e Hybrid the transition between EV -> ICE is really seamless. The only way to know is to look at your RPM meter. What a difference with my wife's MB C300 Hybrid where hybrid is more marketing than a solution.

Great range, that's one expectation confirmed :-)
How about charging times? What kind of installation do you have and how long does it take to charge it to 100%?

looks like a nice car. I ordered same in Carbon Black in August, about 11 weeks ago. expecting delivery sometime in November but no firm date yet. Any feedback on the way it drives? I only test drove a 3.0d so interested in anything that you can say. What range do you get on battery?

Would you mind sending me a few measures:
- width of the trunk at the narrowest
- depth of the trunk at height 0 cm
- dept of the trunk at height 45 cm
- height of the trunk-door-hole on the side
I asked my garage but they don't have the measures.

Hello, how do you charge your battery? Do you have a wall box or something similar? How long does it take?
Thank you for your answers.

The fuel tank has been moved backwards, so there is less space. (Hence no 3rd row option)

66 km at -3 degrees C

Just got mine yesterday and drove it flat on EV today. After 66 km with -3 degrees C the battery was flat...

Very happy with it but there's a ton of stuff to learn...

I read a report that BMW was going to restrict home charging of the 2021 330e to 80% to "preserve room for regenerative charging". Can any owner report if this limitation has been applied to the X5 45e? I call BS on BMW's stated reason. I think it's to extend battery life.
