Same boat over here! I ordered on Monday and according to my CA, the car will be delivered in the first week of December. I'll be sitting at this computer pressing the refresh button continuously for the next 30 days!

Ohhh...just had some kind of movement. Any morsel keeps me happy! When I previously called the Genius line I would enter the production number and it would automatically connect me to a human who would say, basically, wooomp, woooomp....
Today I called and there was no human! It said my order was confirmed with no set production date. I’ve never been so giddy to get no news! Things are maybe happening! (Did I tell you I needed help or what!) |

Ordered yesterday. Week 49 build. Dealer says I will have it before the holidays. Keeping fingers crossed. I may also need an intervention.

So I’m probably looking at mid-January delivery. I’m actually OK knowing when. Sucks, but at least it’s not a mystery.
My question is this. That’s almost 3 months. I’ve ordered a GLS 450 and it took about 4 weeks. 3 months has to be at the long end of the curve. What’s normal wait for an ordered BMW? I would imagine it’s somewhere in line with the Mercedes. I’m guessing the delays would be attributed to the fact that it’s a great car and selling like hot cakes. |

I placed my week 36 individual 40i order 7/17 and it wasn't delivered to the dealer until 10/30 (built week 43). Wait. Was. Awful. I didn't even get a production number until the first week in September. I was all sorts of moody and emotional about it. LOL. When I knew it was delivered to the dealer, I waited impatiently for them to close that night so I could go and find it on the lot (didn't want them thinking I was THAT person )
When I finally showed up at the dealer to take delivery, numb to the core at that point, it didn't even feel real. Was so stoked for my first car with factory summer tires and what happens? Mother Nature decides to send me half a foot of snow the same exact day I was to take delivery. I had already purchased my winter tires so I dropped them off at the dealer to install for my delivery. Wouldn't have been able to safely drive it home with the summers. Service was going to "try and squeeze me in" so I could take delivery. Fortunately for their lives they made it work because I was ready to cut a b***h at that point lmao I'm generally a (mostly) patient guy but I became a crazy person throughout the order process so I completely understand what you're feeling. I even had a spreadsheet going for a while after receiving my VIN that I would use on Mdecoder.com adjusting the VINs of earlier builds trying to calculate my build date - which jumped forward 4 days as me and my spreadsheet had forecasted... Not going to lie I'm slightly embarrassed reading my post right now |

I think my dealer had an allotment that they may have changed because BMW genius said the car was ordered Oct 8th, but I wasn't even looking at the X5 back then they initially said my production week should be 12/1. Maybe that's when it will actually be produced and they just gave me a VIN to shut me up, |

I guess it’s a good problem for BMW to have. Can’t make the cars fast enough. Better than a lot of cars they cannot move.
That being said, the wait is awful. |
