Officially BMW lists 0-60 at 4.1 or 4.0 for the X3M and X3MC respectively... Plus I'm not so sure the X3M would weigh more than this thing.

BMW Dealers: hey Munich, there's no 10-thousand dollar engines and transmissions in these things for us to replace.
How are we going to make any money? BMW AG: Don't worry, we beat it with an ugly stick so no one will buy it. |

Mission E looked great. The production Taycan looks like a Panamera which isn't near as appealing. Not to mention the price tag doubled based on the target.

Honestly, I like that look. Don’t get why people call it ugly.

We must be looking at different cars, the Taycan is 90-95% true to concept Mission E and not like a Panamera. And the lower priced offerings have come out now and it is competitive priced vs a Tesla, though the car being a Porsche commands a justifiable price premium.

I really find the EVs appealing, but until the infrastructure is expanded and the ability to charge gets 2x faster I think I'll stick with gas.

Honestly that's the reason I find the Tesla's to be better EV's despite all the controversies/downsides. The Supercharger networker is a huge advantage. Its almost like Apple and Android, but when Android wasn't as good/advanced. Not to mention because its all through one company, they have the advantage of integrating all of their services into the car/account. No need to go to a separate website to map a trip or have to go there only to find no stalls available. Outside of Tesla the infrastructure NEEDS to improve!

BMW needs to get cracking.
They're arriving extremely late to this segment.

However BMW will pay dearly for being so slow in the EV game.
