Website is notoriously inaccurate. Your CA or Genius will be the best source.

For example, my status just changed to scheduled for production on the website - status 112 - but it's been at that status for over 3 weeks based off of the VIR my CA gave me and the Genius line.

The website updated last night as soon as I have placed the order. What is throwing me off is that my SA was telling me that I will get it end of January, beginning of February yesterday morning before placing the order. Last night I did not ask him about the build week but as I have said, if he didn't have an allocation he wouldn't have been able to place the order, right?

Yeah, don't think you can get a production number without an allocation.

I was waiting for 10.00 am to ask the BMW Genius, but I could only get the robot telling me that there is no production date, only that the order has been confirmed. I will have to wait until Monday to talk to the Genius that hopefully knows more...Why did I order something custom and I did not get something that was on stock....damn. I was in this boat of checking X times per day also 3 years ago and I guess I wanted to go on that route again...pffff

Now I am questioning myself if I should modify the order and get also the M Sport brakes. Also I am thinking about that Luggage Compartment Package if it makes sense to get it or not.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems each allocation is tied to a specific build week. So your dealer must know your allocation is build week 2 or 3 allowing for a week or two delivery time to dealer.

I think a lot of times is luck of the draw where a dealer may already have a car ordered for inventory that matches your order so you get it a lot faster. Or, more likely, the dealer has a car ordered for stock, still in 112 status, and when you place your order they modify that existing stock order and then you get your car in 4 weeks or less.

I'm looking at 10 weeks for production and probably 12 to 14 weeks for delivery since I'm opting for the performance delivery.

Unfortunately, my dealer said that he does not have anything there already in 111 or 112 status that he could have modified, all of their orders went in 150 status and they were blocked from being modified.

I will just have to wait until Monday and then maybe the Genius will give me a production week.

Until then, I will just keep asking myself if I should add the M Sport Brakes and the Luggage Compartment Package on my build.

If there is something that I know that I don't want for sure, that is the 50i, because then I would regret for not waiting to get into an X5M. The same logic applied also when I ordered my current car.

Sorry I'm catching up...is everyone getting build sheets from their dealers with invoice pricing on them? How much below invoice are we seeing for a 2020 X5 40i M Sport? I'm located on northern NJ.

Ordering new M50i

Hello! Pretty happy.

So I’m closing (put a $1k deposit) on a 2020 X5 M50i. I’m getting 11% off of MSRP which includes all dealer discounts and various incentives (loyalty, finance and most recent hunger drive). On a $104k build price (ouch), I guess my true discount is about 7%.

I’m also getting the BMW CCA $1k off later. I got mine from Leith BMW in Raleigh and I’m going to do the Performance delivery.

Anything else I need to know?

Thank you all for your postings!

20 x5 6yl sport
$70795 includes $995 D-H fee
$7800 discount
+ $1250 loyalty

Bank fee $925
Doc $395
Reg $157
MF 0000128

Nothing padded, dealer noted if rates or incentives get better I will get them Before delivery

Target was 10% off with no padded rates, I did a little better

AND yes they did try to pad the rates, after we talked a bit, saying that isn't what we agreed they quickly confirmed the rates and price

Ordering now, not doing performance delivery, BMW store is local

The $2k is a credit when you finance through BMW.

There should be a $750 conquest on leases. Check the offers on bmwusa.com for your zip code.

I'm picking up my M50i next week in MA. Roughly 10.5% off MSRP plus 1000 lease credit and 1250 loyalty, 0.00093 MF with MSDs.

Is it SouthShore in MA? They were only quoting me 5% off MSRP (before incentives)

They are marking up the MF, the base for this month is .00128. Given the MF it probably doesn't pay to put cash down versus the return you can get elsewhere but that would be a personal preference.

Edit: I ran the numbers for zero down through the leasehackr calculator and come up with a payment of 1,356 rather than their 1,388. Once you get the correct MF and number from them you should probably do the same to make sure your calculations match theirs.

Thank you Turtle. Also, does it make sense to fight for more discount? I know I can fight for whatever I want, but what matters is if it is realistic or not...
So what is realistic?

Also, sincere question, when dealers do 10% with base MF and all incentives applied, do they make money on vehicle?
