AutoTecknic Dry Carbon Fiber Mirror - DO NOT BUY
AutoTecknic just reached out to me. I'm updating this thread. They acknowledged that certain carbon fiber parts specifically mirrors can be off at times. They offered a full replacement.

I purchased a set last year from iND where the passenger side cover finishing was sub standard. They sent replacements that were worse than the original. I am still waiting to hear back from iND regarding this issue.
What did AutoTecknic say was the issue?

Got these Saturday and got them installed today.
Pros - Pricing was good compared to BMW Performance - RKP uses OEM cores with an overlay; the overlay adds some thickness but does not affect fitment or functionality. Cons - Random piece of fabric in the TOP of the mirror, small but sucks. - The weave gets a bit stretched around the outside corners; not a good look. - The thickness becomes apparent around the lights Looks good from about 3' away but if you put your nose up against it, IMO, it doesn't look great. If I were to do it again, I would go for the BMW part |
