Same situation. Mine has been sat in port down in Southampton for 4 weeks now. Madness as transporters have been operating and my dealer has been open taking deliveries. They have no control over when the car will get transported but BMW centrally in the UK couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

Yea! Got my car last night and it looks great.
Now the fun learning curve. I am a Tech guy, so that is fun for me.

Well... my car is located in the national distribution center in France since April 15th... BMW has still not invoiced the dealer and there fore the car has not moved. the dealer has visibly no mean or no influence on that at all.... So I wait, with no visibility. Car ordered in november...
Last time I buy a car not in stock...

So a confirmed week 23 has moved to a confirmed week 26, so much for the value of a confirmed build week.
In total I went from week 15 to week 26, 11 extra weeks while the plant was closed for 5 weeks.

As a long time brand customer I'm starting to think that this will be my last BMW vehicule.

I share the frustration as i'm in the same boat, but I don't think that other premium brands are better off. It's a shitty unique situation and we have to be patient, no other choice. It's also depending much on the dealerships, not so much on the BMW, some are just not good at dealing with the situation

In the end, when you finally do get the car, you'll forget about all these months and just have fun

Gave up

I gave up waiting. Cancelled my M50i order and got an E63 AMG instead. Found a great deal on a new 2019 on the lot!

Similar.....my car has been sat in storage Southampton since 19th April and BMW still haven't transported despite my dealer having a skeleton staff to receive transporters during lockdown (and the logistics companies still working).

BMW couldn't organise a blow job in a brothel. Pathetic and close to binning the order. Covid19 is now just an excuse.

Called my dealer today. Car is in production, status 150 and I received a VIN. Production will be completed next week they say. I think it will get finally produced
In VIN decoder I see production date 2020-05-23
I thought production was much faster? Production date 2020-05-23 and completion first week of June. Is this normal?

Delivery should be before the end of July.

Congrats. The end is near al last.

If you give the vin in the drivers guide app you can see a picture of your car and browse through your options. To ease the wait!

You can also enter it in connected drive but you won't get the code because you need the car for that. But you can see it shortly

I tried that but the VIN is not recognized. 1 online VIN decoder gives an uncomplete result, other VIN decoders don't know it. So I think it's a little bit too early.

I just find it strange that it takes 2 weeks to get produced I thought production was two or 3 days.

After a brief stop at W23 i'm now at W26, a week that the dealer has confirmed to be final and won't change anymore so I would expect you to be around W30.

We'll see. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, the guy on the phone (not my usual contact as he's out of office currently) immediately said W32 was requested but W39 is what the system currently says, and that everything is subject to change etc etc.
Nothing I can do anyway as there's no alternative, so I'll just have to suck it up and wait it out
Maybe I'll try my chances and press to give me an M8 loaner to easen the pain

As of right now I am holding at week 26 for my M50i.

I really want to know what week is the last for 2020 builds and when they switch over to 2021 for the X5's....
