Hi All,

Did BMW reduce the RV for 12k miles from 55% to 54%?

Thanks.

Residual dropped by 1% across the board? Pretty sure mine was 56% at the end of May.

Yes it did. But the MF also dropped to 0.00099, but for many it won't really change their monthly.

Incentives can be regional so you need to check for your area.

I'm pitting 5 dealers against each other trying to get pricing and a list of July incentives. So far only 1 got back to me with 9.8% off - 75k build for 67. They quoted me that but now won't respond. lol

Of all my 68 cars, these dealers are being the slowest I have ever dealt with to give me a quote. I'm a super easy customer. I search inventory, pull the build sheet from MDecoder to verify the build is ok to me.

Then give them the stock # and ask for a best quote.

You'd think in Los Angeles, about to get hit hard again from Covid, they would want to move a 75k car.

Id be happy with 10-12% off and whatever other incentives (current BMW owner and the 3k cash).

Due to low inventory and delays in production, dealers are holding onto inventory and crazy mark ups...atleast here in NY

Are there any programs for the 45e?? Also does anyone know how the $7500 credit works towards a lease?

The credit is not available for leasing. BMW Finance gets it since they are the purchaser.

My CA wanted me to do a new credit app on June 30th because he thought the July programs would be dreadful...

Same incentives, and with the MF drop, the 1% residual change makes my payment $0.11 more a month. So he saved me less than $4.00 over the lease term.

I am also in L.A. looking for a 10% off MSRP deal albeit on the 45e and the dealers are barely responding to me. I don't even mention the discount i am looking for on the initial contact. I was at Beverly Hills BMW and was told they kept a handful of sales people and let everyone else go. They seem to be in low sales mode. Keep costs minimum and sell the few cars they have at as high of a margin as possible. Getting a deal right now is going to be tough. I am probably going to come back in 6 months and see if i can get a better deal.

Well - i got my 2020 X5 yesterday. Having had the same issues as you. Even at BH BMW - Neda, the #1 sales person in the nation and who i've known of for 20 years - would not get back to me with a price.

I got mine at Bob Smith. They got back to me within 2 hours with a great price for the car. I took a deep cold bath on my 2018 X5 trade, but that is my fault.

If you want my sales guy info - PM and i'll get it to you. I got right under 10%. Mine is a pretty darn loaded MSport...not sure there are E's available.

I did the #s via email - before my trade valuation - but even then when i got there in and out in 1.5 hours.

Except for my loss, could not be happier.

As far as I know it has always been that way. In some cases the finance company may pass along some of it as a price reduction but the Fed money always goes to the purchaser not the lessee.

Edit: Here is some more info on that and the links.

"The vehicle is acquired for use or lease by the taxpayer, and not for resale. (The credit is only available to the original purchaser of a new, qualifying vehicle. If a qualifying vehicle is leased to a consumer, the leasing company may claim the credit.)". https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/taxevb.shtml

"Again, the tax credit is available to help with the purchasing of an electric vehicle. Leasing an electric car also won’t provide you with the tax credit.

Instead, the manufacturer will be entitled to that tax credit. Therefore, you shouldn’t count on getting this tax credit unless you’re purchasing a brand new electric car." https://filemytaxesonline.org/tax-credit-electric-cars/

"It's also important to note that leasing a hybrid won't necessarily get you a credit, since the leasing company actually has the right to claim the credit." https://auto.howstuffworks.com/fuel-...ax-credit1.htm

"If an eligible EV or PHEV vehicle is leased to a consumer, the tax credit goes to the leasing company, which technically still owns the vehicle over the term of the leasing agreement. However, it’s very likely that the tax credit amount could be negotiated into the overall cost of the lease to reduce the vehicle price and the monthly lease payments as part of the deal." https://www.carfax.com/blog/hybrid-electric-tax-credits

They were able to give be $4355 out of the $4668 back in August of 2017. But now it seems like there's not much incentive to go for the 45e. I hope something changes soon

I am also interested in the 45e. Was anyone able to get a discount on pre-order or build? Thank you.

Many, perhaps most, times the invoice price is a meaningless price. To better judge the deal look at the % off the MSRP before any incentives are applied.

It’s 5.4% off MSRP before incentives.
