Car finally arrived at the dealers, now waiting for the prep work to happen for pick up sometime next week.
Got sent some pictures, and the difference of the Arctic Grey looks in the sunshine compared to cloudy conditions is very noticeable.

I've got all my insurances (private and company) with kbc but a few years ago started shopping around for a new insurance for my a6 because I was paying through the nose compared to some colleagues that were with AG for example. When I wanted to switch over, all of a sudden they were willing to match "because I was such a valued customer". Since then I always question any change to my premiums. A few months ago they raised our home insurance because we remodeled. Complained that I thought it was too much and ta-dah, the increase was magically reduced by 50%. Very annoying but it's the game I guess... don't blindly sign insurance policies without shopping around or questioning the premiums, especially with KBC. My bank and insurance agent will match any offer I get at the competition, but will never give me the best deal out of the gate... Fyi I'm around €2200 for my x5. Not sure what "RC" means? |

Thanks for the feedback 😉. I’m a good KBC client. (at least I suppose with all the things I do with them) - I’ ll keep on shopping
RC = french speaking acronym for Responsabilité Civile = Base legal compulsory package = burgelijke aansprakelijkheidsverzekering |

Here's the breakdown for full comparison btw: Omnium: 1724 (incl 10% extra value insured for a few years) BA: 492 "Rechtsbijstand" (legal thing): 67,92 Total: 2284, and will go down to 2097 after 3 years. I got the offer during the "autosalon" so there were some extra promotions at the time |

Coming back to the original thread. I received the confirmation from the dealer that week 40 is ‘nearly’ carved in stone... They opened a complaint file at BMW Belux to make sure of it. I was supposed to get it in week 41 on belgian soil - the official complaint could help win 1 week. This makes it a full 10 months delay... still better than Heavyd Now, fingers crossed to keep it that way. |

I also have a renting for the car with KBC and a lot of others things too. My wife's car, house, other insurances. KBC lease made an offer for insurance for around 3 K my own KBC guy made an offer for exactly the same service for around 2.1 K. Both with KBC insurance off course. As mentioned above they never give the best right away. Even with good clients because they kind of expect you are not going to show elsewhere. It always helps to say you have better elsewhere, but don't tell the exact amount because they will just match it. Give them a feeling that you are shopping around and they might loose you as a client. |

I'm below 2K with AG, full omnium with all the options except the roadside assistance as we have that from BMW.
If anyone is interested in the contact for my insurance agent, just shoot me a PB, Perhaps he can do the same deal for you. |

I have road side assistance too and also travel insurance. I know I have roadside assistance from BMW but I never bothered to try to take it out and lower the price. Maybe I should.

So considering production is presumably back to 100%, and not withstanding any backlogs, what's the realistic expectation of a delivery timeframe for a new order in the UK? I got a confirmation email from work that mine has just been ordered today, with a delivery date of early December, which I think is incredibly optimistic, but just wanted to check to set my expectations.

Thanks, that's quick - I should've said my order is for a 45e, so I'm guessing that the lead time I've been given is based on a non-hybrid version (which is aligned to yours) and that mine will be quite a bit longer.

I estimated the extra delay (due to covid) on my car to be between 2,5 and 3 months making it around 10 months of waiting time in total. It’s on a vessel cruising south of greenland now 😉
