I negotiated 9% off, before incentive on a stock 45e in Maryland for a friend. He did not want to handle the negotiation.

And like in your case, relationships with the dealer can lead to better discounts |

I think I referred 5 forum members so far and my dealer just informed me that they won’t be offering the 10% discount after the end of this month. So if you were on the fence PM me in the next couple of days...

However, the dealers are not budging and are very stubborn with minimum discounts for builds I am looking forward to winter offers which in my experience is always best time to buy cars . |

I just got 8% off MSRP and Destination on a custom build 45e, plus $2,500 financing incentive, $500 New York State point of sale rebate and 0.9% for 60 months.

Thanks multiple great people in this forum. I just closed a deal with a dealer in my region and got 9%+ off build order before $2500 rebates.
Also, I connected with a broker in Boston and quote with 10% off before incentive and $499 broker fee. Leveraged this to negotiate with local dealer to take $7000 off on my build. My neighbor is ordering 45e with me but don't think that helps much on the negotiation. Just wanted to share my experience, and thanks again for everyone who provided your value advices |

So I have already put in an order for a 45e. Wanted a specific build so I didn't want to buy one off the lot.
The dealer said that we would talk final pricing and everything once the vehicle arrived. I did not go through financing deals or anything/do a credit check, etc. He said they would give me the "best price" at delivery, but we did not negotiate a specific deal as the trade-in, etc. are still variable. Did I screw myself by ordering a car without a final commitment as to a discount? Obviously I realize that I am not in a strong negotiating position now, having ordered the car already. I did talk to the two local dealerships (Seattle area) and neither would commit to a specific discount on a custom order. That was before I read this forum though... |

When you go through the process in the future, make sure you negotiate the discount, discuss incentives and get all fees listed before you mention anything about a trade-in. |

recommend to always get the deal locked in and in writing before you order. With BMWFS letting you lock in programming there is no excuse not to. If you wait till the car comes in you are kinda of behind the ball on the deal bc you waiting all that time and the car is there ready to go so you would have to basically take what they give you or walk away and start all over again which would be more time etc..

I think you should have the basic information on your deal specially when you are paying $70-$80k for a product. I suppose you should know the % discount of msrp, document fees, and current incentives, even if incentives might change at delivery. Also, this forum mentions the 60 days (East coast) and 90 days (West coast) lock. |

Placed my order last week (production # in hand) ... tentative week 49 build per BMW Genius (in 111 status ... awaiting 112) ... hopefully will receive by 12/31/20
9.5% off MSRP + $4500 in BMW NA Rebates + 0.9% 60 month financing + before $7500 tax credit Too bad I got the Z4 a few months ago ... could have saved another $1000 in CCA Rebate ... but already claimed ($500) on the Z4 in August Also got on the top-end of trade-in value on my VW ... so pretty happy with the deal Last edited by CaboM4; 10-22-2020 at 04:57 PM.. |
