Yes, I will be making 7x$850 ($5,950) MSD payments at lease inception, which is fully refundable on lease turn in. This saves ~$40/month!

MSDs can also be rolled over. So the combined monthly savings will eventually "make back" your full MSDs over multiple leases. MSDs are a great "investment".
By CLT, are you referring to Charlotte? The great thing about that is you can pretty much get a deal from anywhere in the the country and do a PCD. |

Took the delivery of the 2021 X5 xDrive40i last week.
I sent the build code to multiple dealers in the Midwest area and asked for quotes. BMW West St Louis quoted 10% discount (pre-incentive). Their admin fee is also straightforward and fairly inexpensive compared to the fees quoted from couple Chicago dealers. So I decided to order from them. Production took 4 weeks. My CA is professional and responsive and made my out-of-state purchase really smooth. Took the family and made it a road trip to pick up the vehicle. Overall really good experience. I have option to attend the ultimate drive event in NYC Citi Field this weekend. Last time I did one of these I got a discount code but did not use it. But as my lease ends in a couple of months such a discount would be useful this time around.
Does anyone know if BMW still give discount codes to attendees and (this is important) are they valid on a custom build order -- I've heard that sometimes there is fine print that says has to be a dealer stock vehicle, but I never buy from dealer stock! Thanks! DAK. |

Yes. they still do discount codes. I did the one at MetLife Stadium, and they give you a code via e-mail.
Technically, it is only for stock orders, but I've never had a problem using them on orders. However, on the $1,000 they give you, BMW provides $500, and the dealer contributes $500. So if they are already cutting a deal at 10% off, they will probably only honor the BMW provided portion. |

By the way, the expiration date for accepting delivery was listed as 1/31/21 - not sure if they adjust this for the UDE events later in the year. |

Thanks to everyone in the forum. It’s been extremely helpful.
I’m about to place a custom order on a 2021 X5 40i and I’ve negotiated 10% off the MSRP (excluding incentives). MSRP is $81,300. Anyone seeing 11%-12% off anywhere on custom orders currently? |

I have been negotiating on a custom order 2021 X5 M50i and the best I could get so far is 8% off MSRP excluding incentives. Has anyone been able to do better in Connecticut?

I am talking to my local dealer about a custom order and they are holding at 7% before incentives. I will open it up to out of area dealers to get 10% or I will not buy. I did 7.5% last time and well I saw my deal was ok but the forums are great to see what the deals are.

7.5% was last time. 7% was local dealer with sales manager directly. CA offered like 1% and was offened when I told him his "deal" was a joke. I am not bothered to go out of the region. I actually bought all cars out of region until 2018.

I agree!! Did you read the broker thread. It was suggested in there that local dealers do this to buy your business the first time then jack up the rate.
