B&W system- random volume increase when listening to XM

So since getting the car, at completely random intervals, my radio volume while listening to Sirius XM will go up for a half second and settle back down.

Its pretty strange and has nothing to do with the speed dependent volume. It like spikes and comes back down.

Any experience this?

Nope, mine works fine. Does it do this with any other media? That would almost rule out a hardware problem if it doesn't ("almost" because I don't know if there is a special receiver just for XM). Sounds like probably a dealer visit.

My whole audio system used to just turn up the volume randomly after you drove for a while, not speed dependent just would go up like 10% or so, complained a few times, then eventually got a software update and never had the isssue again - this was a couple years ago now.

Do you have "gesture control" by any chance? I had that in a loaner and it drove me nuts that the radio went on/off low/high at "random". I found out I talk a lot with my hands.

Had nothing to do with gesture control as the volume indicator would never pop up

When I bought my car gesture control was a free option, after one day I knew why and turned it off as I would just set the thing off constantly, then every software update it comes back on and reminds me how much I hate it after I trigger it a few minutes later.

Not sure about the satellite connection doing it because I don’t use it but the app and browser versions all do this. I hear it at home and in the car. It’s in the signal that way.
