ASS Off/Disable Button. (Yes, I know it can be coded....)

I echo the power mirror thing. Would love for them to retract as I approach my garage, and automatically open on the way out (Sure, I can dream )

Better automatic climate control. It's baffling why the vehicle cannot just adjust the fan speed automatically to achieve the desired cabin temperature. I'd also like the vents to be less standard and more ambient, so the car just "changed temperature" without needing to worry about what the hot/cold air was blowing on.

  • Be able to customize what gets displayed on the dash display (there is much room for improvement from a programming perspective)
  • Agree, more ambient LED color choices (see MB) and the ability to program color changing (ideally based on sunrise/sunset times)
  • Turn signals in the HUD (can't be coded on these; miss them dearly from my F15)
  • Soft close doors
  • A much nicer front center dash speaker cover; the black rubber thing looks like the main cover fell off
  • Control the temperature levels of the heated steering wheel and armrests
  • Have the Homelink transmitter activate based on geographic location (stole this idea from Tesla, but whatever)

A cargo net, or just something to hold the grocery bags in place so I don't end up having to play bagboy when I get home.

I'm going to purchase something soon, but this really feels like something that should come standard with the car.

Perhaps I'm oversimplifying, but I wonder if it would technically be possible for BMW to add via an OTA update. There's an option to trigger the panoramic camera view using GPS, so it feels doable.

As to whether BMW will actually do it... I would guess it's not going to happen.

Speaking of OTA updates, a couple other things they could add/change with that, which would be great:
- Adding a camping mode (ie: something where you could draw power from the battery all night while camping, without the car shutting off the power)
- Improve the lane keeping assist (it's worse than most other cars, and could be much better)

Maybe you need to modify your way of maneuvering I never noticed this but yeah all my suvs have one. I have a cooler in the trunk where I keep togo's and some other stuff when needed. It helps.

I think that comes from red light camera known locations as well as crowd sourced data for radar (similar to Waze). FWIW, I have not got an alert on this in the 3 months I have owned the car....
Same here, I only got the occasional warning for construction sites (if they come from the same app).

So I "invested" in a RD but no laser jammers… We'll see how that works out (I've just had it for a few days) in combination with Waze.

120V outlet (unless there is one and i just haven't found it)
Automatic AC controls that actually are automatic - why do I have to mess with the fan speed?
+1 for soft close door - miss this from my 5 series

I have it and the service is $25 for a year and half. Came back from a 1100 miles road trip recently and it worked about 85% of the time for speed enforcement on the thruway/highway and 100% of the time for speed camera/traffice camera. Considering the price for the feature and the duration it is a no-brainer and something I would renew. People on here spends thousands of dollars for cosmetic "mods" or "mods" that they will never utilize but feel $25 is a waste of money. I find it odd but... Your money, your car, your choice.

That's what the hooks are for in the cargo area.

There are hooks in the cargo area. They fold away when not in use. Flip them out for bags, flip them in when not in use.

It’s not the fee that I didn’t want boss I actually did try to renew because I thought it was a cool feature and I did get alerts on the long trip. When I tried to renew, it asked me to sign in and somehow it wasn’t working so I never got to do again. I will make sure I spend 25

Actually, the X5 has the feature that lets you program the driver's window to roll down whenever the car is at a driver-designated spot (such as a drive through), so conceptually folding the mirrors at a driver-designated spot should be exactly the same thing/not hard to implement. I guess not via an OTA update, but still…

This feature is nice EXCEPT the car has to be totally stopped for the windows to activate.

I cannot imagine BMW would let GPS dictate a change of display unless the car were stopped as well.

(I'd LOVE the window open feature based on GPS, but like most people, it's much faster for me to approach my parking garage gate and press "down" while I'm still in motion.)

Air suspension that will stay lowered in the garage. When I open a door the air suspension starts to go up. So much for easy entry!

Also the hooks for the bags are there but don't really keep a grocery bag tethered to it very well while driving. Doesn't take much for it to go loose.

how does feature help him as he's approaching his garage? I think it's clear he's dealing with a tight space on approach.
