X5MC deal

Hello, in these times, what is considered a good deal for the South West of the US, specifically in the Houston area (and not only)? Unfortunately, the dealer where I got my last three BMWs from is willing to offer a 0% off MSRP.
Does anyone have a good dealer to work with in Houston or around or maybe in the whole US? Any inputs are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I got 0% off on my 2022 X6 M CP. I'm in south Florida
We are still in a seller's market, so VERY few deals are being offered right now.

In this market, first you need to decide how important a local dealer is to you ... if it's important then you're likely going to pay for that convenience.

OTOH, if you're flexible on dealer location and, even better, willing to do PCD, then you can use any dealer in the US and/or a broker. In that scenario you can certainly find a dealer willing to discount off MSRP, but probably more in the 3% range.

If you want a broker, try Next Level Auto Brokers

I don't care about a local dealer since in the past I was driving about 170 miles to get my cars. It's all about the $ here, I give the local dealers my business for service…I am not loyal to any dealer when I buy cars.
I am willing to do PCD, and I contacted earlier exactly that broker, now I am waiting to hear back from him.

Got my m3c from Dan and did PCD on it this summer. Great experience. That was a few months ago.

Unfortunately, a lot of dealers are no longer willing to sell cars out of their market (even with pcd) and want to keep things as local as possible for future service business. So be mindful of that. I couldn't even get the dealer that I got my M8 from to sell me an i3 a few months later due to this service reason.

Good luck.

maybe another thing would be to take a look at the dealers on the south half of Wisconsin and email them asking if they have an allocation for your config code

Why Wisconsin? When I was in the market for an M4 in November and December 2014 I was looking where winter came saying to myself that the market has to be low there for an M4. By the way, the discount from the broker is 0%…

And what are the numbers (residuals and incentives) for November, are they the same as for October? Because I haven't seen Jason updating them.

I'll pass on any new vehicles now from any manufacturer. You'll never convince many of us that the auto industry is not currently substituting Joe Schmuck's knock off parts and electrical components for what they are unable to aquire from their usual reputable venders.

My dealer of 20 years has one on the lot-I offered MSRP but they refused. They are adding 10%. They also have a Porsche dealership as well-wanted to order a car and still a 10% premium. Have spent close to 500K over the years and still want to bend me over. Thought being loyal was beneficial but apparently not. Think I will sit tight for now and begin shopping around. Will likely just buy our my X5 50i when lease ends next year.

I was right every time when I called them stealerships... everyone is here to make $, loyalty does not matter it seems.

I was just thinking right now, which are the highest volume BMW dealers in the US? I will start emailing them, I want to find a deal around.

People tend to be naive and think there's such a thing as "building relationships" with dealerships. These cases are few and far between. They are businesses that need to make sales to survive and losing one "loyal" customer has absolutely no effect on their sales.

SoCal has the highest volume dealerships so those should've your starting point, but I heard even they are not budging due to the extremely low stocks.

I've found in this climate (in Sept) that approach is wrong - you want lower volume dealerships in small towns, especially for a higher spec car. They're likely to (a.) have an allocation, and (b.) give you a discount.

while I ended up going with a higher volume dealer in the Bay Area, the other 3 comparable offers from were towns with <200k people.

that said ...

Also my dealer is a Penske dealer and I overhead their sales team saying the current ADMs are a blip and "we're going back to normal". My sept deal -4% + penfed

The best I could get until now was a 2.07% off MSRP but... I will keep emailing in the evening to some other dealers.

What is ADM?

additional dealer markup, i.e, MSRP + $10k (which, in Sept, most dealers I contacted were charging for X5Ms especially high volume dealers like Irvine, etc)

If I could get a dealer to offer me a 6% I would sign the deal today. By the way, how is the penfed $3,250? It only works if you don't finance/lease through BMW FS, right? Otherwise is it only $500?

Yup, the $3250 penfed incentive is avail for the X5/6M if:

(1.) No comp package
(2.) PenFed member for > 60 days
(3.) No BMWFS financing

None of those were an issue for me so it was a no brainer!

If you're flexible on dealership location, check out Bergstrom Enterprise BMW in Appleton, WI. Super easy ordering process. Were upfront about their allocation statuses and pricing. Placed order, gave deposit and got production number next day (I didn't get an M car though so maybe it'll be different for something like that). Jeremy was the sales guy I worked with. Recommend them (especially compared to dealerships in MN).

I have already tried that dealership and got a 1.68% off MSRP from them. Do you think your guy can do better? If so, send me his contact details through a PM and I will contact him in the morning.

There is some truth to this. I have leased 5 custom ordered BMWs from my CA over the past 12+ years and have a pretty good relationship aside from the usual negotiation dance every 3 years. Anyway, last October, I ordered a '21 X5 and was looking for an '8% off MSRP at the buy rate' deal. He countered with 7% and held firm there. It wasn't until a broker I knew who had a relationship with the GM stepped in and 'made a call'. The next day, I got an email saying that they would honor the 8% deal given our long term relationship. That's it; 1% (begrudgingly) was all the relationship was worth - if that.

Fast forward a year and look what has happened: those 8-10% deals are LONG gone. I can't even imagine what the conversation with my CA would have looked like this October if ordering a new X5. I'm guessing I might be lucky to get the 1% off MSRP vs 0%! Will be interesting to see what happens in 2 years when my lease is up. Could be buying the thing off lease!

Echo what the previous poster stated. I have bought 6 cars in the previous years before ordering the current 2022 unit that its being build now; during those years, I got 8 -10 % off MSRP without much haggling. 2 weeks ago: "All I can do is MSRP, there are no cars around". So much for the so call "relationship with your AD". My response: buying the car in my current lease that is coming to an end, depriving them of making a profit in my return car lease; and turning around and selling that car a few days later, for an $8 to $12,000 profit (for me). That profit in turn, will make my 8-10% discount on the new incoming ordered car.

Last call….BMW dealer offered 113 stock. I'd rather a fellow Motörhead taking this car over the dealer making 6-7k profit.
