We went with white just for appearance and maintenance. Never can go wrong with white tbh.
We heavily considered the Tanzanite, but couldn’t justify the 5K custom cost. |

When I was searching for my X5, I wanted Tanzanite, Carbon Black or Dravit Grey. I think the way that each color changes in different lighting really shows of the aggressiveness of the G05
I ended up with Dravit Grey and absolutely love it but I would have been happy with all 3

1. Should have made this a poll.
2. TL;DR All the colors including 490 Individual Special paints since everyone has their own personal opinion. 3. What's missing is a shade of metallic silver and Stratus Grey doesn't count.

I think the best color is the one that brings a smile to your face.

Last 3 BMW cars were white. Got tired of the Social conformity, and just got a Flamenco Red vehicle; 20 times better in person than in the build app, loving it.
Just like with clothing, watches, jewelry and life partners (being socially correct here...wouldn't want to be cancelled); it has to suit your wants, needs and style. |

I typically buy silver cars because silver hides scratches well. However, no such luck with silver on newer BMWs unless your in the market for an X5M in Doningting Grey - hence I ordered Arctic Grey. My folk have a Phytonic Blue Metallic X3 and after 1.5 years ownership you can see swirls and light scratches. I have a feeling the Arctic Grey will show similar swirls/light scratches easily. Considered Mineral White Metallic until I stopped at a light where 5 of the 9 cars were white or white metallic and the fact white is the most visible car color a highway (if you know what I mean) killed that prospect.

I usually get black cars and the swirl management is a PITA. If I had more free time to detail I'd probably be OK with it.
I went with Arctic Grey, fantastic color. |

i'm partial to blue. My favorite is Tanzanite Blue...but wouldn't spring for the 5K extra cost. Went with Phytonic Blue which I love as well.
Aside from those two blues...I really like both the Nardo and Lime Rock Gray. njnets21 has a really nice blacked out LRG that looks fantastic.

I went Tanzanite (LOVE this color), but Dravit is a close second. The X5 in black is like a navy suit too.

And in '22

My '16 MW at sunset. Under certain lighting, the metallic really plays off the shape of the car in a good way, IMO. I will most likely order my next one in MW again.

Tanzanite isn't available as an individual color on the X5. It is available on the X5 M50i and X5 M

My vote is for the stealth look of BSM, both our G05 and G07 are BSM. But as most will agree, it takes a lot of maintenance to keep it looking good. The maintenance just isn't for everyone.

good point. TBH, I didn't research it deeper enough to realize that as I knew it was an Individual color.

Love our Phytonic Blue. It really has some depth to it and it seems to suit the SAV. Great contrast to our Silverstone interior.

I've ALWAYS had white vehicles. I got a BSM F15 and a CB F25...never again. I'm going to stick with white cars. ONLY because I am much too lazy to keep up with black. Never been a 'colored' car guy though. I do enjoy looking at them, but could never own one.
