Exclamation My BMW APP (Android vers) issue HELP NEEDED

My BMW APP (Android / Samsung S21) has been running w/o any issues for a long time. Updated as necessary via the playstore. Has provided all the useful information w/o fail and remote access features like locking/unlocking, checking status or same, camera, location, etc etc all without issue ... UNTIL TWO DAYS AGO :-( About the same time as my new 2023 X45e arrived at my dealer [I don't think this is a causal factor.)

Now the APP won't open ... instead opens to a BMWUSA.COM page asking me to log in ... but still fails to open as usual - as it has for a really long time :-( I'm planning to pick up my 45e on Monday/Tuesday - weather permitting ... it's been a soaker the past 3 days.

I know that monitoring many functions of the PHEV are more convenient via the MY BMW APP and it's annoying that it's picked this weekend to crap out :-( I contacted BMW ASSIST on Saturday and they've logged a call - BUT told me to expect a 1-10 DAY resolution!! I emailed the APP developer via the email address on the Playstore APP page & I've noted the issue in the review section of the APP on the Playstore too.

Has anyone else had this issue ? ? I've done the usual ... deleted cache, uninstalled and reinstalled, etc etc ... NO OTHER APPS on my cell are misbehaving. I'm on WiFi most of the time and will try to see if it behaves differently on cell service.

My car was at the dealership for about a week and when I picked it up on Thursday, it did something similar. Opened the app, then it prompted me to LogIn; once I selected LogIn, it took me to the BMW website to authenticate, then allowed me to continue in the app. From there, everything worked as usual. What is yours doing after you authenticate through the webpage?
