Most here use RaceChip from r33_RGSport

RaceChip makes the Dinan unit to Dinan specs so it should be reliable.

However, search the M8 forum as a guy bought both, dyno'd both and RaceChip made more Torque and Horsepower.

HP is octane dependent. The higher the octane, the higher the hp.
I believe RaceChip marketing numbers are 98Octane Germany gas. Not sure which formula that they used. RON or something else.
So, to you answer your question, to get to the max output, it is all depends on octane, climate, and altitute.

But, all the US map is configured for a minimum of California 91 gas.

Also, at the end of the day, if you are trying to get max engine output, flashtune is the best way to go. And need to be dyno tune, not a bench tune or copy paste / cookie cutter tune that most guys are doing.

Hope it help.

I've been running one for a couple of months. I'm pretty happy with it. It certainly makes a BIG difference from stock.
I sometimes run 4-5 gallons of E85 per tankful due to our crappy gas here in California. I definitely feel a difference when doing that.
I may switch to a JB4 just so I can datalog timing, AFR, throttle, etc. I like to know what is going on.
I might also want to hook up the BMS Methanol injection system I had on my F85.

this is probably a direct question for you RGSPort. I previously used a Racechip on a 2020 X4MC. the wiring harness connected to 4 different sensors. the website says that the head unit can be reprogrammed to another vehicle. Will the wiring harness for the X4MC also work for a 2022 X6MC or will it need to be changed out? How many sensors does Racechip connect to on a X6MC 2 or 4?

It would be different harness.
When did you purchase it?
It includes 1x free re-programming that includes new harness within 24 months of ownership.
You may want to hit up the seller and redeem that.

For X6MC, only 2 connection.

i dont recall where i ordered it on line. the reprogram would probably be easy enough but then i would need to get a new harness as the one i have is for 4 sensors. I already have the Dinan ordered and on the way so i will try that one out for now.
