Just wanted to give my experience, since this was the first time I've updated my vehicle since I've owned it.
The update was annoyingly slow to transfer from my phone to the car. I had to drive around for 20 minutes since it forces you to drive while the update transfers over. For a while it looked like it was stuck at 1%, but after about 5 minutes or so it finally ticked up to 16% and went up from there. Once the update transferred over, it said that I would be notified when the update would be available to install. This was not immediate for me, but I'm not sure if it's because I didn't have a sufficient charge in my X5 45e (about 25% at the time) or if it was just computer stuff happening in the background that prevented an update immediately after transferring from my phone. I waited 4-5 hours, checked again and it was ready to install. The installation was pretty quick - I'd say about 15 minutes. The car says you can leave and lock the vehicle while it's updating, which I did and had no issues finishing the update. However, once the update was complete, there was definitely some funky behavior upon the first startup. For one, I have a 2023 X5 45e, which starts in electric-only mode by default, but when I started it up for the first time after updating, the engine kicked in immediately like a normal car. It was also showing an "Unable to charge" message, which said to plug the cable in again to see if the message goes away. I did that, with no luck - the EVSE was receiving power from my outlet but it was not charging the car. This made me nervous, so I took it for a short drive to see if it just needed to be driven. During my drive, I did come across the weird glitch that shows all doors/rear hatch as open on the instrument panel, but this eventually went away. However, when I got back to the house after about 5 minutes, it still wouldn't charge. As a last resort, I unplugged EVSE from the wall and plugged it back in while the charger portion was still plugged into the X5. Success! The charging light turned blue and it was showing as charging on the instrument panel. For the first 10 minutes or so, though, it was not carrying this information over to the MyBMW app on my phone, but it eventually synced up just fine. Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else has these issues. One quick thing I noticed was that after the update, the digital climate display on the dash now shows a tiny clock icon after turning the car off and leaving the vehicle. I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing this before, but it's a nice touch nonetheless. |

FWIW, those little gremlins you experienced are actually common (albeit a bit nerve racking) and usually go away after the first drive or two. this is mentioned in the release notes |

I updated my 2023 X5 M50i to 03/2023.67 on 8/20/2023. I have the ASS button, my coding for "remember last setting" went away after the update and I have not been able to code it back. Bimmercode app says coding complete but it has zero effect. Now, I have to press the ASS button every time I start the car ! So, hold off on the update if ASS coding is important to you. |

It's my experience that when (and if) you upgrade to 03/2023.xx, the ASS button will stop working. I can code it to work with Bimmercode, and as long as I don't shut off the vehicle, it works with the button. But once the car is shut down, that feature stops working. The button has no effect and no light.

It seems that only a minority of models have so far survived. My 2022 M50i (UK) with ASS button still retains its last used mode on restart. This is after re-programming with Bimmercode of course.
I do not have to press the ASS button on restart to deactivate ASS. 03/2023.67 shows in the idrive menu.

Same situation with me after upgrade 2 months ago ASS coding stopped working and I tried multiple times with bimmercode , bimmerutility even few professional coding experts tried it too but now you can't disable the feature through coding until and unless some genius somewhere will figure out how to break this new BMW code ,
Luckily when i tuned the transmission with Xhp it has a option to disable ASS and it resolved that issue for me . The another easy method is to code startup driving mode to sports or sports individual and that deactivate ASS. I ordered a module for my car but since i deactivated ASS through Xhp I'll get that module installed in my brother's 2023 X3 M40i and update you guys if that module can permanently disable the annoying ASS as it was claimed by the seller the wiring color code is not proper so I'll do it in few weeks with the help of my technician. |

Are folks having more success getting this OTA update to work versus other ones. Have yet to get an OTA to work and this one just loaded on my car yesterday so hoping this one will actually install.
