Week 28 builds

Looks like I can actually track BNSF cars through employer's access. Mine showed up to Richmond a day late. If anyone else wants a BNSF track, just shoot me a PM with your VIN or rail car.

My car was placed by BNSF at 7:42 this morning and switched to At the Port in the last hour. If you're on the same train, I'd expect the same. Now we wait for trucks!

Mine is still in transit, so not in the same train. Hopefully it can arrive tomorrow.

Mine is at the dealer! Woot! Will pick up in a few days. Having them do ceramic wax on it.

Got a call from the dealer that the car will be ready on Aug 15th

So, I finally picked up my X5 50e today. Woot! There were some prolonged wait times due to me also being on vacation for a week and out of the country. While my X5 was waiting for me at the dealership it ended up getting some updates due to recalls, so idrive 8.5 was installed and waiting for me when I picked it up. I guess they automatically did it because of whatever recall needed it?

Anyway, glad it’s finally home. I got to drive it home on pure electric and it was fantastic. This is my first PHEV and I’ve never had an electric car before. So excited about that part. I love all of the bells and whistles that have improved over my previous 2013 X5. It’s like a better version of a familiar friend.

Here it is at the dealer before I drove it home.

Congrats! I picked up mine last week and it still has idrive 8. Dealer says I can upgrade to 8.5 through remote software upgrade. I am hoping the update will pop up one day.
