IND | Eventuri F95 X5M / F96 X6M / G09 XM / M60i Carbon Intake System
Performance Gain: 18-25hp, 15-18ft-lb with up to 30hp peak gain. Max Flow Rates: Stock 774 CFM, Eventuri 900 CFM Introducing our F9X X5M / X6M, G09 XM, and M60i intake. This intake is the result of extensive R&D and testing to improve on the flow path of the stock system. Our system is a complete redesign of the stock airboxes with the aim of reducing pressure loss while increasing the flow rate and keeping inlet temperatures low. With the stock cold air feeds at the front of the car and the turbo inlets facing the rear of the car, the airflow has to negotiate a 180 degrees turn through each airbox resulting in a flow restriction. To overcome this we have introduced an additional cold air feed from the scuttle panel, which results in a more direct flow path to the turbo inlets. The additional feeds allow the intake to have a higher flow rate whilst keeping IATs low and have an additional benefit of de-restricting the sound of the turbos. With the intake openings now facing the cabin, the turbo flutter and pressure release sounds are clearly audible, elevating the driving experience to another level. Application Guide:

Wondering if there are any other dyno graphs from this same session? Just questioning the reproduce-ability of the indicated gains on consecutive pulls. The ‘after’ pull was started earlier so likely contributes to the higher torque out of the hole whereas the ‘before’ pull was started 500 RPM later.
Other than the blip at the end, seems very marginal gains over the stock airboxes. Don’t get me wrong, the Eventuri kit is beautiful and the induction sound alone is worth the upgrade, but not sure the actual performance increase is there. We spend way more on exhausts that do even less, so not arguing that point! Is the transient on/off throttle response sharper? Turbo spool quicker? Any other metrics around performance changes would be great. |
