Transfer Case issues?

Will be ordering an X6 Comp shortly, once my X5 M50i goes back. I am currently dealing w/ a transfer case issue, that seems like a chronic problem amongst X5s. How has the experience been w/ the X6 M?
My '18 M5 didn't have the issues, but I only turned it in w/ 20k or so on the clock. Currently I have 50k on mine...

I dont think its an issue anymore, my 2012 e70 had an issue with the transfer case at about 20k, they replaced it with a revised version and its up to 80k now no issues.

I was having a lot of heavy clunky choppy feeling when turning steering wheel at low speed. I have 20 X5 M50i.. My SA brought up transfer case problem. Suggested changing fluid first. if that doesn't fix they will replace under warranty. the fluid change seems to have worked. No more clunky steering, yet!

There is quite a complicated reset and calibration procedure that must follow fluid change, make sure they have done it.

Yes, so what they did first was check the tires, which were all just coincidentally replaced, simply due to wear on the prior set. I have heard that if your tires are worn unevenly they have been making others replace them first on their own dime. So then the changed the fluid and said if it rears it's ugly head again during the first 125 / 150 miles, bring it back for replacement. Immediately, the change greatly improved the condition, but didn't remedy it. So next day brought it back and 5 days later had a new case. Now she's golden
Good thing I took the extended powertrain!
