Buying from Non-Bmw Dealership

How do ya'll feel about buying from non Bmw dealership? I've normally bought all my cars from whatever dealership they are. Previous Nissan from Nissan Dealership, previous Acura from Acura Dealership, previous Bmw from Bmw dealership. Long story short found a 2023 45e at a Land Rover dealership that is low in miles, good price, color interior/exterior I want, has the packages I want, etc. Sucks I cant get the CPO extra year of warranty, the car stll has 39k miles and 38 months left on factory warranty. Am I being too picky wanting the CPO or if I buy from the Land Rover dealership should I get checked since "CPO" does a thorough inspection? It has the Land Rover certification with the 135 point inspection blah blah blah but it doesnt come with much other than "hey we checked everything on the car".

Take it to an independent for a pre-purchase inspection, it will be worth getting it checked out.

Even the bmw dealership scams. I bought my 50i on August 21 2023 from bmw of Dallas owned by AutoNation. The next day after purchase the low pressure fuel pump failed. They wouldn't even respond to me. Taking advantage of me that I live in a neighbor state and not in Texas. Than the passenger restraint system seat mat failed than the worst part the transfer case was leaking. Even the amplifier wire was burnt the day I drove it home It was emitting burning Smell. It could of easily caught fire. It was due to a tap in wire from a prior subwoofer. This was all uncovered to me just within a couple days of ownership. The vehicle was sold with bmw of Dallas guaranteing all these failures with there 4K or 90 day warranty but they consistently ignored my requests and would not send me any details of what to do for the warranty. Sales manager, sales guy, finance lady all refused to correct the issues or even respond regarding these. They would respond if I asked about other things but would ghost me when I asked for repairing the problems under warranty. They also had given me a fake checklist that basically they mark everything is good with car. Although it is clear there service center didn't even bother to check anything. The car was a prior CPO before it sold to me. Beware of BMW OF DALLAS.

Bought my 2020 from a Buick dealership for $34k. Well worth it.
