luggage Package X5 50e

I looked at the canadian pricing guide and notice that the luggage ompartment package add on is only 200.00 but the regular X5 is 1000.00. Any idea what the difference is? What woudl you get for 200.00?

The regular X5 has cover that goes into floor, cannot have it on 50E because of battery. Not sure what you would get for $200 probably anti slip rails and side nets.

Oh ok I thought that might be the case. I wonder if it has a manual cover and a place to store it much like the x3 or if there is no room for it at all

All G05s have manual cargo cover and a storage space for it underneath the trunk floor. I am pretty sure the luggage compartment package for 50e just offers a side net and a vertical flex net in the back. Here is the package description for M60i from the UK configurator.

Not in UK, on pre LCI models other than the electric ones you can order package where it electrically disappears under the boot floor at the press of a button, not sure if it will reappear on LCI. I have this on my 40i and also on my 50i due in April.

Here’s what I think I was getting for the 45e in terms of the luggage package. Vertical rollable divider net that gets fixed at the back of the back seats and to the special sockets in the ceiling (there are two sets of these in the ceiling - for when you have the back seats up or folded down, then the net goes right behind the front seats). Flexible net with the hooks that you can fix in the trunk. Rails in the trunk. Vertical netted pocket and foldable hooks in the trunk. That’s it. No electically controlled luggage cover and no anti-slip system for the trunk because the battery underneath doesn’t make these viable. Makes a lot of sense to order it for those 200, IMHO.

My E91 had similar “dog net” vertical divider. It’s pretty great and I would have liked it on my G05.

Also available on the LCI ( other than the 50e) I saw this in the car presented on the Brussels motorshow

The net that comes with the package attaches to the cargo floor but does not go verticle. There are no hooks in the ceiling. I resembles a large netted bag tgat can be attached to the floor or sides, stopping it from sliding around.

I see. Thanks.
I imagine the net holding for example spare tire in the middle of the cargo floor, nothing else included.
I do not think it it worth CAD200+15% tax

Probably not. There are small side pockets with small nets I think were added but I really wish they were clear on what u actually get with these options. I paid extra for adaptive headlights and the no longer swilel either. They add auto highbeam but all the adaptive function is coded out.
