Special Order Color? Model, Color, Status & Build Week

Trying to see if BMW is indeed batching Individual paint orders together.

I'll go first:

2024 BMW X6 M Competition | Individual Chalk| Status 111 | Week 6

I thought the same, but someone in another thread mentioned their special order color, 50e, is in status 150 with a production date of January 13, 2023.

Another forum member and I are still in status 111, scheduled for Week 5 production. Is BMW handling a large volume of special order paints, to the extent that they're initiating another batch just a month later? Given the significant delay a special color typically adds to the delivery timeline, this seems unusual.

50e is a model designation, not a individual color code as far as I am aware.

As far as wait time for the individual color batch process it can all come down to when you get your allocation, when you get approved for the individual color, chosen color, and then when they are able slot you into the appropriate batch.

Indeed. Here is Porsches version of Chalk on my 2020 Cayenne.

I have a X6 M60i on order in Atlantis Blue. It was approved 11/8.

Genius line told me the week of Feb. 11-17...so that's week 6 or 7 as well.

Looks great! Before I got the M60i I also looked at the new Cayenne and that’s the only color I would’ve ordered

Lol I was saying he ordered a 50e in an individual color. Not that 50e was the color. Typo on my end.

Ok that would be week 7. That's weird. What is your current status?
Maybe as we get closer and move to status 150 the production dates will line up.

My favorite SUV right now is the 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT. Spec'd the way I want it was north of $200k which I can't justify at this current point in my life. Maybe next time.

Love the look of the Cayenne Coupe and the Turbo GT model is just a beast. I agree on the pricing aspect as well, that’s how we landed on the M60i over the ‘24 Cayenne S.

I was at almost $130K on the Cayenne S build, so saved myself $30K while still getting a great performance oriented SUV (one that’s quicker than the S) with some awesome tech

That is what I have, delivered in November 2023 but I am having a hard time justifying $200k sitting in a car so might downsize to an X5M. Chalk with Blue wheels.

Question on interior color.

I want Tacora Red interior, but it's not available for the X5 xDrive40i when I go to build on the BMWUSA website. However, it is available on X6s. Will the dealer be able to accommodate this change when I go to factory order?

Same issue/question for 747M wheels.

No, they will not be able to. They can only order what is available.
