Dealer is outside of DC (MD). Option to have them deliver to my door or go down and pick it up. Leaning for the drive.

I used Dan and had the car delivered. He’s a pro. His delivery guys were great and accommodating. It was also relatively inexpensive for the transport. That said getting the dealer to finalize paperwork and release the car took a bit of time. If I could do it all over again I would have drove down. It was year end so may just be busier than normal and I get it but that part of the process was less than ideal.

I will add the dealer did get me the allocation in the overall time period they promised upfront. May have not loved that part of the process but it was all taken care of as promised and no games.

Do we know which dealer in Texas (big state, I know) offers the best discount on ordered X5 or X6s?

Also when is SOP for MY25? Will it be April or August?

Don't know about the dealer, would imagine it is constantly changing. SOP should be August.

Here is one data point around the Houston area that may help. When I was searching for a factory order back in September 2023, I was quoted $2000 off MSRP at BMW West and $0 off MSRP for BMW Woodlands. Most were only offering discounts on lot inventory.

I ended up going through NextLevelBrokers who located a X5 allocation from a dealership in Mississippi at 8% off excluding any incentives. No haggling required and the dealership offered the BMW FS buy rate of that time.

Thanks so much. Yeah West is always so iffy. I've reached out to NextLevelAutoBrokers via IG. Let's see what they say!

Thanks again!

West has always been iffy for us. We bought our X5 from Momentum couple of years ago. Just requested a price on a 2024 in-stock X5 from them and they offered 5% discount online.
You may be able to get more in-person.

Anyone have a good contact in the Pittsburgh Pa area or surrounding OH WV MD area? Looking to get a 24 X5 and my sales rep went to Mercedes in summer of 22.

I'm in Texas and I went out of state to Mississippi through a broker. Awesome experience and will do it again. The market is too saturated in Texas and the dealerships thrive on it.

Good luck with your broker and your new vehicle.

With some work you can probably get 5% although many are sticking to MSRP. Allocations seem to be all but non-existent so that will likely give them less incentive to discount as well as probably a three month or so wait.

Does the military incentive cut into the dealer's bottom line? Or does the amount also get subtracted from the dealer invoice price, so the dealer doesn't care? If I'm factory ordering, at what point do I bring up that I have a military discount - after I negotiated the final out-the-door price?

Military incentive is covered by BMWNA. The dealer has no exposure. It matters not when you present the certificate. Negotiate a dealer discount separately.

I am in the midwest and just put a deposit on a dealer spec'ed X5 40i that matched our desired options (fairly loaded) and it is currently in build (code 150). We negotiated 7.6% off an MSRP of 85k. I also have an additional 1k corporate rebate that will be deducted when the final paperwork is completed for a total of 8.75% off MSRP when said and done. Looking at this thread, I think we did okay. Now for the wait....Any idea how long BMW takes to ship to dealer once it is in build (150)?

Welcome to the forum. Once shipped it should take a two days or so to Chicago. Barring any delays in QC or getting a carrier that should happen a day or so after your assembly date.

Thank you! I am very happy with the deal and happy to hear it is favorable as I didn't find this forum until after I signed . My build date is showing 2/2 which is tomorrow. Can't wait to take delivery!
