Bimmergeeks Protool or BimmerUtility
I would like to code the anti-dazzle headlight feature back into my pre LCI F95. Every OTA update erases the coding and I'm tired of paying to have it remotely installed again. I have an Android phone and a Windows laptop if that is needed.
Thanks Last edited by BobsM3Coupe; 04-06-2024 at 09:31 PM.. |

If it helps on my F97 X3M I use protool on android to code it after every update - you do need a 64bit android device to run protool but you need that to run most apps these days, jut mentioning it if you phone is like 5 years old it may not be able to load it.
BimmerUtility looks really good also (I have not used it) but has more options like iphone and windows too, it seems similar otherwise and is mostly as is protool a simplified version of esys but lets you edit all options, so no reason it should not work either.

Like roadkillrob mentioned, BimmerUtility will code for anti dazzle. I contacted BimmerUtility this past October with that same question. We had a number of back and forth's but basically this is what they said.. "Hello, yes it will work. Yes it can code anti dazzle. Any over the air update or dealership visit can wipe any FDL coding. It can all be coded back though."
All their testing was done under a Microsoft Windows environment and they said if you have a Mac, .. .. "Hello, we have never tried it or intended it to be used from a macos laptop. You are more than welcome to download and try it as it will connect without any purchases." This means you can use a Mac and see if their application works and can try to connect to your car but without buying their license, you just cannot do any actual coding. |

I use bimmer utility and it has come a long way, you dont even need to open up esys anymore! its somehow does all that in the back end! Has cheat codes specific to the car with a simple enable disable button, does back ups and of course code FA.
hope that helps! |

I have an S23+ phone. I was planning to use my enet cable that I've used with bimmercode. Hope that will work.
Now I have to decide whether to use protools or bimmerutility? They both sound pretty easy to use. |

I coded my anti dazzle with ProTool and I have not lost it with each software update. I have lost some other coding, just not my anti dazzle.
