Is it worth buying out?
What maintenance/repairs will I encounter for the next 15 to 30K miles? Estimating the budget.

The same car (2024 model) costs $1000-1200/month to lease. We are trying to evaluate the situation.

TIA!
You are better off buying than leasing from a financial perspective, even if you get an extended warranty. Although with G05, 40i there is no need for extended warranty. JMHO.

Based on my experience over the last 22 years with BMWs, that's a little high. The only BMW I had that got close to that was a 2006 525i. I had it 11 years and put 175k miles on it. And most of the bigger expenses didn't start showing up until well past 100k miles, and they weren't huge--water pump, oil pan gasket, rear pinion seal were the biggest. They totaled about $3500 and that was over 4 years.
Yeah that's a bit high. E9x were not the most reliable cars for sure, and even then I think I'm still at about the generally accepted $200/mo ($2400/yr) for maintenance/upkeep/repairs at 13 years out (E93/335i). Maybe if you're still going to a dealership for repairs, but the trick is finding a solid independent BMW shop. Luckily I live not even 2 miles from a truly great shop like this, that's made long term ownership of our E93 a whole lot less painful.

From what I've heard, while newer BMW's have been more reliable, repair costs have gone through the roof when things do go bad. E9x was still relatively cheap to repair even if things go wrong more often.
