. I just hopped onto the Madico site and found their warranty. What a mess this is, just "caring" for it leaves a ton of gotcha's when it comes time to make a claim and at least Exo will pay for reinstallation .. .. . Last edited by Marty in NY; 05-20-2024 at 05:03 PM.. |

Waste of $$ IMO. A rock flying at say 25 mph hitting your windshield which is going 80 mph (in my case) is gonna damage the glass.

Also make certain that whatever you get it is compatible with the car's cameras and sensors. And that the people doing the work are competent to do the calibration necessary.

It's essentially PPF for your windshield correct? So same could be said for people who PPF their vehicles right ? A rock flying at 80mph is gonna damage it no matter what but maybe for those final destination like videos I've seen on IG it might just be enough to save your life maybe ? Idk just curious as I see many people paying upwards of 6k for full ppf and I think any windshield improvements are a much better investment if it has any benefits from hydrophobic to protection. I did read somewhere it keeps your windshield "intact" but I don't recall much more details as I saw it a while ago....

I’ve heard poor things about windshield ‘ppf’ (as well as tint) and am staying away from them. Expensive. Won’t protect form a sharp rock at 50mph, darkening the glass with tint may mess with the light sensors within the car for the hud/display/etc. And, at the end of the day when you do replace the windshield after a year or two…that sunk money is gone.

However, I do think that like PPF, it will help reduce the shear amount of sandblasting a windshield gets over its ownership period, especially in sandy flat areas of the country like in the western states. I have seen some pretty pitted glass in the past. Here are the excerpts from the Madico site. . |

Everyone I asked (including a specialized shop) advises AGAINST putting a film on the outside of the windshield - provided you use the wipers. Debris and dust that deposits on the blades will inevitably damage the film and reduce its lifespan
