* Have blacked out badging that I need to put on
* Plan to add Racechip once I get a few more miles on it
* May swap out the rondels with Ind-Dist black versions

Both are great colors! We looked hard at one of the grey options, but since I already had a grey vehicle, wife wasn’t sure she wanted hers to match. Then she saw the MGM with the M-sport package and the decision was made. Happy wife, happy life!

Did you tackle the front splitter and spoiler install or have it done professionally? Curious to how difficult an install it is.

I installed the spoiler. There are a number of threads in the forum with some tutorials that did a good job of explaining it. I also used the video below as a reference on how to remove the current one. Overall it was a pretty easy.

I had the front lip installed by the performance shop at the same time they were doing my springs and spacers. It looked like a more challenging effort so I took the easy way out and let the pro’s do it.

Is the ride quality still good on the MSS springs?

Ride quality is great. I’ve lowered other cars so I’m use to a slightly stiffer ride. When we got the X5 (with the 22” wheels and no air suspension) I actually thought it was a little “floaty” for my taste. I’m sure other would say it rides very luxurious.

The springs firmed up the ride a bit, but in a good way. Little more road feel and less body roll. Feels more planted than before. It’s my wife’s primary vehicle and she didn’t seem to notice the change (or at least didn’t complain about it) so I would say it’s subtle enough that she couldn’t tell the difference, but changed it enough that I feel the improvement.

Been about 2 mos since it’s been lowered and the spacers added and I have ZERO regrets. Ride is still great and it looks SO GOOD! I agonized over the decision for months and very happy I decided to move forward.

The final deal closer was after we got done test driving the X5 and were looking around the lot, she came across a Manhattan Green Metallic with the M-Sport package, and she fell in love. Ordered through a broker in Sept and went with the Tartufo interior. Went down to the factory to on a Friday to pick her up.

Got her home and went to work. Modifications thus far:

Two layers of Gyeon Mohs Evo
Topper layer of Gyeon Cancoat
Leather treated with Gyeon Leathershield
Front windows tinted with Llumar IRX and the rest of the vehicle with Air80 including the pano and windshield

Planned:

Ordered blacked out badges from Ind Dist. for the back
Wheel gap annoys me so I’ve already reached out to Ben about MSS Urban Springs and 15mm/20mm spacers
X5M Roof spoiler
3D Design front lip
Eventually will go with JB4/Racechip down the road

Been reading all the threads on the community for the past year as we did the research in preparation. Great source of information and look forward to being an active member going forward.

I have the same Manhatten grey metalic X5 with Mpsort package and 22 inch wheels at my local dealer. Do you still like that color? Easy to keep clean?

Looking good! Long time Lexus family here as well. Skeptical when switching to X5 and wife asked why we didn't switch sooner. I have a question about your option. Did you get M professional? I see you have black grille but not the mirror. I've seen some like this and others with both black grilles and black mirrors.

Yes, still loving the color. Really like the contrast of MGM with the black M-sport package and the 22” wheels. Hardly see many in my area so it’s a bit of a unicorn, especially with all the mods. Wife is always getting compliments and asked about the color.

I put a ceramic coat on it so even when dirty it still looks pretty good. I think the color masks any dirt pretty well.

It does have the M-Professional package. But I modded the mirrors and added the black m-sport mirror caps. The original mirror caps were MGM color. The black makes it look more aggressive.

First planned road-trip coming up and wanted to test out the new rooftop carrier to ensure everything was working correctly.

We’ve been using a Toyota Sequoia for the past decade and it’s been great for long road trips. We can pack a massive amount of stuff (beach, camping, etc) and the kids have been riding in style in captains chairs with a ton of legroom and space for the dog as well.

Already hearing the complaints from the kids about the upcoming trip based on downsizing to the X5. Gonna be so much better for Mom & Dad, but the kids are definitely giving up some comfort. Knew we needed more storage for all of our stuff. Still won’t have the same carrying capacity as the Toyota even with the rooftop box (66 cu ft in the Sequoia vs. 34.5 + 18 = 52.5 in the X5 + roof box) so we’ll need to be more efficient.

But even with the family hauler on stop, still looks like a bada$$ vehicle!

Assume you are referring to the tablet cup holder. Below is the one I use. Works pretty well and allows me to run Highway Radar on road trips.

Finally got around to adding the black badging. Once you popped off the chrome ones, the removal of the adhesive was a little time consuming, but not too bad.

On the M-Sport package this should have been included. Didn’t like the chrome accent with the rest of the vehicle blacked out. Looks much better now along with the plasti-dip on the inner exhaust.

Nice whip dude! Very similar to my build. I have a 2024 40i in Skyscraper Grey All M pro/sport packages, Tartufo, Anthracite Poplar Wood too.
