Guide to install lower front honeycomb grill

Road trip...a piece of tire hit me in the front and broke my lower right honeycomb grill (passenger side)

Already have the part, and BMW is quoting me $200 for labor.

Anyone know if I can do it myself without having to mess with the entire bumper?

You have to remove entire front bumper to replace it. The grills are clipped in the middle with the outer bumper and the inner plastic trim. There is no other way.

There's some install videos on YouTube with regards to fitting the carbon fins in place of the honeycomb. If you watch those, it'll be the same process for getting to your honeycomb part to replace. From what I've seen, it's a bumper off job.

R44 and What's Your Forte each made a video.

Thanks for the quick reply! Looks like I'll get a shop to do it.
