is bmwpartsnow.com legit?

Wonder if any friend here had purchased parts from bmwpartsnow.com?

I am shopping for the best price of OEM parts online and came across this site. https://www.bmwpartsnow.com/

I googled their address, and it showed up as Karl Knauz BMW in IL. I called the dealership number and talk to part department directly. The guy on the phone confirmed it is their online store front and give me the quote same as their online price.

The price looks like a deep discount from MSRP. ($400 + $31.26 shipping vs. $654 MSRP from local dealers). Wonder if this is too good to be true.

thanks in advance !

I emailed them before and never heard back, so I ended up ordering from getbmwparts.com. Fairly satisfied with them, some prices were higher, some were lower, but it ended up being better with the free shipping anyways. They also had everything in stock (or at least got it within a day or two), so that's another plus.

A number of dealers operate an online store and sell parts below MSRP. I have bought some things, not from them, but others and it was just fine.

I bought several parts from them in the past. Very quick delivery. They are operated by BMW dealer.

Reach out to Evan@Tischer. He is the rep for BMW Parts. They operate inside of the BMW Dealership at Silver Spring. Evan will answer pretty much anytime.

For clarification, getbmwparts.com IS Tischer, it's just their online storefront.

BMW Parts Now is Legit

Folks,

Back in February 2024, my wife's 2019 X5 40i decided not to start at our local gas station, when I turned it over there would be a solenoid type sound clicking over but no starter. Thinking it was a weak battery, I got my other vehicle out there and put jumper cables on it. After two tries, I started smelling a burnt wiring smell and decided to stop immediately.

Long story short, I got it towed back to the house and looked at Youtube videos on what the problem could be, someone online said that their starter motor crapped out.

I ordered from BMW Parts Now a new starter motor for $679.18 + $63.15 (expedited shipping) and it got to Houston in 3 days. I returned the core to them and got $200 back within 48 hrs.

I'm pleased with their parts availability and speed. I also called them and confirmed they were a legit dealership as I never ordered from them before. They are a good option for your BMW parts.

Here's a link to my Youtube video I made of the experience.

Quite a cliff hanger - you didn't say whether the new starter solved the issue. I sorta expected to see you start the car at the end of the video

Great video, I love DIY'ers. You did a pretty good job one handed and managed to keep the video in focus!! Thanks for taking the time to record, upload and post it

Marty,

It started up like butter! I guess I should have took a video of it cranking over but I assure you it was quite satisfying. Later that afternoon I went and celebrated my success with a Whataburger with the money I saved!

bmwpartsnow (Karl Knauz BMW dealer) is the worst dealer you can buy from.
Placed an order and waited for 2 weeks, noticed that it had "ready to ship" status for several days, they didn't answer my follow up emails so I decided to call and found out that I had to place this order again and pay with PayPal, despite that they charged my CC by more than $1000 and kept it until I said that I am still waiting for the refund. Next thing, the part that was in stock and in the order suddenly became not in stock (despite their website said 2 items in stock) and they advised to wait again.
They are either scammers advertising low prices or absolutely incompetent.
