LOL. It is amazing what dealers just make up. Obviously what he is telling you is not true. When you have the issue you will receive a warning and the power assist will be gone so it will make it harder to use the brakes and stop. Just think back to how things were prior to power brakes.

I posted in the 50e data thread. Built in July and bought end of August. No issues and very happy. I came from a 25 40i because I wanted Air and the added HP/TQ of the 50e plus much better MPG. Our roads are horrible here and the standard Air helps. This car not subject to recall was a bonus too
