I'm looking to do an order of an X5 in Southern California. Two of the dealers have asked for a credit check before ordering, which I'm not ok with.

Does anyone have a referral to a SoCal dealer that will do an order without a credit check? I'm consistently seeing 9-10% off sticker.

There should be no need for a credit check if you are paying cash or bringing outside financing. After telling them that you were did they still insist on it?

I just did 10% off a custom order of a M60i with Pik Lee at BMW Long Beach. He was great. There was no credit check until pickup day which was understandable since I gave them a non-certified check. In addition to the 10% off, I got another 4k off for military and 1k off for CCA. PM me if you want Pik's contact info.

Where you seeing 9-10% off sticker in SoCal? I got a broker in SoCal that got me close to that much off a custom build. Idk about credit checks before lol. I never even did a credit check until I was ready to pickup my custom order. Ping me and I’ll get you hooked up.

I'll be posting an update soon on Privacy and Dealer Scams. I spent many years working criminal cases and cyber events causing personal info (PII) loss. DO NOT allow a Dealer to run a credit check on you BEFORE placing an order - AND - only if you are using their financing. PROTECT YOURSELF from the inevitable selling of your PII to data brokers AND/OR - the inevitable loss of your PII from the dealer by hacking or insider threat.

If you are financing/leasing with BMWFS you should do the credit app at time of ordering so you get the no-harm lock on the rates/incentives.
