Strange problems when braking

Since a few weeks i have a really strange problem when i brake.

It feels like there are umpa lumpas or minions doing very strange things, feels a bit like its constantly downshifting, doesn't matter in what drive mode i am in, and its only when i am breaking, but not constant.

So, i went to the dealer and they said nothing is wrong with the car because when they drove it the umpa lumpas were sleeping or something, a few hours they woke up and the ''shocking' started again.

it's very annoying feeling, the passenger also feels it and it feels like it's from under the seats not the engine, and the weird thing is that it's not constant, i have the idea its worse when the car is warm

Anyone know what could cause this?

Ok turns out its the gearbox, it's probably broken because i had 2mm tire profile difference with front and back.

Is there any noise when that happens? And is it only at slow speeds?

No noise and it is only at lowspeed breaking, i replaced the tires and it feels a bit better but it's still there.

it's the transfercase that is broken, i saw a lot of stories about the transfercase and its symptoms, but none had the same as i have.

So warning to xdrive drivers, always make sure you have the right tire profile front and back

What tire sizes you were running?
